The 'No Pissin and Moanin' DR650 Thread

Hey kobukan I have the seat concepts on my dr and I'm really happy with it, you might as well buy one you have all the rest except the Corbin . Might be a good compromise between the procycle and the Sargent . I have no trouble standing with mine and its soft enough without being too soft.

Got it sorted out last summer . . . still happy with it now.

DeputyGene.... So good to see a family riding together! My wife humored me for a bit with her quad but finally decided not to ride. Good thing is, she'll jump on the back of my other bike with me.

Yes - 40's. Set the bikes up pretty close to the same. Pumper carbs, etc. I did the suspension but my son weighs in at 130 lbs so the stock stuff is fine for him.

Anyone had any experience with DIRT BAGZ mounting racks? I been happy with the durability of my Ebay side racks, but I picked up a set of DIRT BAGZ RANGER bags not knowing they made racks to go with them. The bag specific racks have simplistic clip on attaching points is why I'm interested.....Thanks

The racks are simple, durable and attaching the bags is easy. I use the system a lot.

I won't deny a certain pleasure in hooking up to him. Actually had to do it 3 times in different spots. It would stop, then eventually go again, then die again.

We assume that it was water related. that puddle was only one of many on that ride. When we got to our designated lunch spot he took his jets out and then put them back in. He didn't have any issues that I am aware of for the rest of the day but by then all the riding was dry.

990 SE......mid April......fuel pump went out. Bike trucked home. I'm usually surrounded by pumpkins in my group but don't really take much ribbin'. I don't have anything against 'em but there is a leeeeeetle pleasure there...

How's the Wolfman/Giant loop combo work? Great Basin or Coyote? I started with a Great Basin and Great Basin Dry Bag combo, but eventually traded to Wolfman for its 100% waterproofness and ease of packing. Just my personal preference. Both are great pieces of kit.

I recently bought a set of Wolfman bags and only got out to try them this weekend and they're great. They hold a lot of weight/volume but they don't affect handling much. We rode through some heavy rain too, and they stayed completely dry.

i use a Wolfman duffel on ebay BBQ rear rack and GL Coyote on the rear rear of the seat w/ center straps around the front edge of the rack.
combo is awesome, narrow and no extra side rack weight.

The 2 came together by chance as I had the GL Coyote for short overnights and bought the WM stuff to expand/replace the GL. Then I finally had a rational thought and combined the two.

Worked well and was solid & easy to access/unload. I could see setting the GL a little forward to use for back support if I knew I was just doing slab or mild dirt roads.

Best just to buy a new throttle tube.R1 or R6 are short turns and can be bought for 15-20$ for both tube and grips.On a side note, I mess my bike riding.Can you guess where I am at?
