You know, the dislike in this thread for a Colorado company that creates something I doubt anyone this forum can create is staggering.

Wow. Interesting turn of events this morning. It seems our friend DMSfab may have a pending date with a jail cell. :huh

Also interesting to note that he has been offering all over the internet to haul stuff for people on his trip to Reno. I wonder how much of that stuff would wind up disappearing in the "hauling" process?

I bought some tools from DMSFAB. Got them all except for some pliers that I paid $20 for. Apparently, he "sold them to 2 people". After many PMs and about a month later he finally sent me a MO for my $20. Guess I was lucky. I was checking out that garage journal site and it looks like he sold some tools to two people as well. Hmmm.

Shady focker. This shit pisses me off. He was also trying to sell a rolex, and now i'm wondering if he really did buy a bike in Reno or if that was just part of his scam to get people's bikes to "haul".

Yeah, it makes sense if you're going to run a scam that you would sell some legit stuff first, so when you start ripping people off, you have some time where the people who bought stuff previously can step in and say: "I bought x from DMSfab and got what I paid for. :dunno"

It would give the scammer some time to get in a few more rip-offs before he was finally exposed.

The damning part (if you read through the whole thread at Pirate 4X4) is that he was apparently using multiple user names on the same site, and using one "identity" to vouch for the other, and using them both to run scams. They traced the multiple identities to the same IP addresss: linky

That's how it always seems to work. I helped see a guy into jail for this type of scam about 5 years ago. He was selling 5-gallon "corni" kegs (used for kegging homebrew) out of MI. About a dozen people bought and received kegs so a bunch of people decided to buy in. By all accounts, he collected north of $5000 ~ problem was that most of us sent Postal Money Orders, so it became mail fraud when the kegs were never delivered. Then it turned out that he'd had Multiple priors (mostly drug/fighting related, but there was child pornography in there too) and the judge apparently was fed up with this person and went for maximum fines and time.

Wonder if his planned "multi-year adventure" in Oz on his XR650R was legit, or a reason to sell a bunch of crap and move somewhere and hide.

    no shit.

So when someone calls you "Francis", is that considered a compliment these days?

My toes are similar Ben; when I was a kid, my grandmother told me I could make a mint playing piano with my toes.
