There is a Fast Eddie's in Walla Walla, WA. It's a drive in only (no inside seating) but they do have some picnic tables outside for travelers. Seen a few m/c types chowing down there in the past.

    Was there back in October.

Starlight Theater in Terlingua had closed; something about lease or unpaid bills. the whole crew had moved down to the Boathouse and set up operations. However it's open air and full of flies.

Sorry to hear about the Starlite Theatre, that place was a classic. Hard times for restaurants lately. At least the ride is still great around there. It is a classic ride along the River Rd.

I first saw this list on the ST-Owners forum. Great list & I carry it on my netbook when I travel.

You have a lot of the Triple D locations, but several of the later years are missing. There are some I would like to hit on the way to SD & MT this year. Can they be added or is there another place to find them?

Thanks for your work on this. Always looking for a new place to eat on the road.

Thanks for the kind words and I'm so glad you enjoy the site.

When I first started it, I didn't want to start with a blank slate so I "seeded" it with data from a few good sources, like DD&D and Feasting on Asphalt for example.

Since then however, all new additions are added directly by the site users. I don't want to get into automatically adding more content... I prefer data straight from other riders, who rate and comment restaurants based on their "ride to eat" suitability.

However, all is not lost. One of the many specialized lists at poi-factory is a well-maintained DD&D list you can find at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/6232.

So you have the best of both worlds! But if you visit any of those spots that you think would be a good addition to the ridetoeat.com site, please drop by and add it!

Cool site. Another reason to plan rides.
One thought- is there a way to sort cities alphabetically by state? I think most folks can identify cities along a route. Alpha sort would help us find places to eat along that route.

Well, I've been saying this so long that I hardly believe it myself any more... but a sortable, filterable list is coming.

In the meantime, if you have excel you could just go to my download page (ridetoeat.com/rte/downloads) and grab a copy of the spreadsheet - which you can sort to your heart's content - or the Streets & Trips file, which can show you all of the RTE sites along your route.

Or if you don't have Streets & Trips you could go to my map page (ridetoeat.com/rte/map) and check it out that way.

BTW, I made changes to the column layout yesterday. The whole comment column should now be visible without left-right scrolling.

About a month ago I started a thread under the same topic for Ontario. If you are coming north of the border you might be interested. It's in the Canadian section of the regional forums, but it's probably a few pages back as it has not been active for a while. This is good information to have if travelling to an unfamilliar area.

I just dropped a note in there making sure everybody knows that RideToEat.com covers Canada too! Just not very well yet. We need Canadian riders to visit and enter their favorite spots.

Western New York! Angola NY. Several really cool beach bars. My two favorites are The South shore Inn and Castaways further west is SunSet Bay. Two great spots side by side. Cabana Sam's and next door is Testosarone and Hard Body heaven SunSet Bay beach club , any sunny Sat. or Sunday is a blast June-August.

Evengola State Park is very close by for Camping. Breakfast at Aunt Millies in Irving NY.......

Then there is Lake Chitauqua Mayville NY. The Dunkirk-Fredonia area. Collage town(Fredonia) hit Rocko's in Fredonia killer Linqunni with Red clam sauce.

Oh man, just love this ride to eat thing.

If any one is heading North to Western NY and you pass through Pittsburgh. got hit Primantti's for a "Sammich"

    Cheers!

    Folks:

I'm looking for help getting the RideToEat.com website data to where it should be.

A few months ago, when only 23% of the data was from "Rated" destinations, I asked for help on a few forums. I got lots of great input and rocketed up to 50% in a very few weeks... but then things slowed down.

We have crept up to 55%, but further progress is glacial. Instead of a dozen or so entries a day, I'm lucky to get that many in a week.

So if you can spend a few moments to help me closer to the goal of 100% rated destinations at RideToEat.com, I'd be grateful!

It's pretty easy. Open RideToEat.com, scroll down to a state that you are familiar with, and look for entries that have a comment which says "unreviewed". Those are the entries that are on the chopping block. If you see one that you believe should stay on the list, just click on the little pencil icon next to the restaurant name, and enter your comment and ratings. Simple.

And if you know of a place in your state that is a great Ride To Eat destination but isn't on the list, just click the ADD button and share it with the rest of us.

    Thanks!

There's a couple nearby that are unreviewed that I'll check out for myself. :thumb

It's a great site you have, don't be discouraged, just keep reminding folks.

I'd like to help but can't get Connecticut to open. Never mind. I was trying to open the map, which says there is an error, but found where you can review places.

FYI, "The Pace" podcast folks interviewed me about RideToEat.com on this weeks episode. You can find it here: http://thepacepodcast.com/archives/387

It starts at the 3 minute mark. You can listen to it directly from that link, or get it from itunes, or from the feedburner at http://feeds.feedburner.com/ThePacePodcast.

This will satisfy all of your burning curiosity about RideToEat.com. And let you know where to get some really cool thong underwear

The Pace is a weekly podcast covering general interest motorcycling stuff.

    Cheers!

I'm a ride to eat biker. There are so many places that are not on your list that I like I hardly know where to start? I'm not a GPSer so do you need addresses or is the town enough? Just a few favorites of many....Lamberts in Sikeston Mo......Arts Tavern in Glen Arbor Mich.....Rudy BBQ in Leon Springs Tx.....All are by great riding roads. I'll get back with some more after I check my riders log book. Great thread. Thanks

    My brother!

Yeah... lots of holes in the map. I depend on riders for the data... so it well take time but I have faith that eventually all the good spots will hit the list.

No problem if you don't have coordinates. I can get those - though it is easier if you get me a good street address and city.

Lamberts is already listed. See http://ridetoeat.com/#235. For restaurants that have more than one location, I prefer to have just one entry, and make note of the other locations in the comment section. In the case of places like Lamberts, that aren't really like a big chain, I'm willing to make an exception so if you submit a review for the Sikeston site I'll give it its own entry.

I look forward to getting your reviews!
