I am trying to get the bike ready for a Magazine Photo shoot.

I have crf forks on my bike too. I may design something if you can get some made....

After reading "Replacing MD Roadbook Drive Belts" I purchased some O rings from McMaster. I have:

9262K452 2.5mm X 50mm qty 50

9262K258 2.5mm X 32mm qty 50

9262K286 3mm x X 33mm qty 25

I used the first two successfully (in the garage) and I'm going two weekends from now as I'm going home the next. I'll post a ride report after I get back and let you all know how it went. If it goes well, and I suspect it will, I'll mail out some of these to you for the cost of beer if'n we ever meet.

I suspect the 3mm will do better for me just looking at the Ø of the pulleys. The 3mm sits evenly across the entire fact where the 2.5 is, well smaller and doesn't contact the entire face.

Why did you take off the RS faring that Davehadon the bike?
It was a very nice set up

The HID was not bright enough for nighttime riding and I didn't feel like pulling the seat and gas tank off just to check something with my wiring

Just wondering what you think of my latest ADV remote variation, designed to take the KTM/Husaberg CEV switches:


The one on the right has provision for extra buttons, could be an extra 2 for a 2nd trip master (Id run my heated grip switch here I think, maybe a PTT if I had comms gear).

I should be able to design a bracket to put a toggle switch that hangs under the indicator switch too for anyone that would prefer a toggle over pushbuttons for the roadbook.

Any change suggestions or comments? Im pretty happy with it so far, might try to get a prototype made soon. Will have to be plastic though.

I think having three butttons instead of two (one on top of each other) will make it easier to control ICO, IMO, RNS and the lot.
Two buttons will be + and - (and we are missing the reset..), so I think (even if it will be a little bit higher) it should be better.

Don't know about the angle of the right set of buttons. Will it be ok for the thumb to reach them ?

As far as the buttons/toggle debate, that is a question of the ages... I would prefer buttons, but you could make that part removable so if it suffers during a crash people can change it without changing the whole switch. :huh
