I'm definately interested too. Ridden sled quite a bit on the North Shore, but haven't had the bike up there yet. Will be watching for a date and more info...

How about making July 16th the official drop in have a Beer & shoot the shit with FotoTEX day in Grand Marais? That way I will know how many cases of Beer to have on hand....

Might even treat Y'all to a nice Texas Beer. Shiner or Lone Star? I was very suprised to see Shiner at the Liquor store in GM. Or I will buy good ole MN Beer. You tell me. Look forward to it. This could be fun.

Those dates were just a suggestion. You can drop in anytime. I always have some extra Beer on hand. If not, Beer can be bought close by. Feel free to drop in if you are in the area.

Not trying to derail this thread, Looks like a few of us Canucks are heading to Ely on April 15-16 weekend. Going to be at the Ely Steak House Friday night.
The ride info is coming together on the Winnipeg thread.

Put 55 miles on the klr on the 29th around Two Harbors. Anyone else been so fortunate? As soon as this current cold, wet weather system passes some of us local(northshore riders) should get a little "practice run" in for the June ride!

c-zulu- Sounds like you don't let much stop you from riding. My hats off to you. Of course that is an impressive number of bikes that you must excersize!

What happened to the event the OP was planning? Is there a date? Has the whole plan changed now?

I'd like to get up that way in June for some riding. It would be great to meet up with some FF's and ride and camp.....

    So, what's going on?

My impression was that the original poster is overseas. If something has happened and he doesn't return to throw out a date for this, a good idea is still a good idea, and we ought to settle on a weekend and stay at one of the local National Forest Service campgrounds, like Eckbeck or Finland. The state park at Finland would be all right, too.
