Old Seven Mile Bridge, soon to be closed, for repairs they say.

This drawbridge in Marathon, Florida, has been ordered closed by the state as unsafe. radio station employees on Boot Key have to take a boat to work. The drawbridge still opens for sailboats but cannot be left in the open position for fear high winds might topple it- thats the shape it's in!

Portugal - Just outside Lindoso, Parque Nacional da Peneda-Geres...on route N304-1.

look for heintooga rd which is a one way dirt road going south from black balsam campground. it's off of the blue ridge pkwy just south of the maggie valley turn off. turn on the paved road that goes to black balsam campground (about 10-12 miles of narrow pavement)-go to the pavement end & look for the narrow one-way two track. it's around 45-50 miles down to cherokee through beautiful woods. we did it just fine on my r1100gs riding two up & loaded, but it was dry---might get a bit interesting going down balsam mountain if it was raining or wet.

I hate to say it, but after looking through all these bridge pics, we've got some of the lamest, plainest bridges stateside.
Love to see all the stuff across the "ponds"!

That is a FINE piece - of work - thanks for sharing!

They say the view from this bridge is outstanding. Didn't look very exciting to me. Perhaps if I come back another day.
