I'm subscribed. The doc has me sitting at home for a few day....so I now have a worthwhile way to spend my time!

Safe travels, Elmer. LOTS of excitement and adventure and no serious mishaps. :freaky

Aben, congratulations on your TAT Adventure! I must say the TAT is a spectacular way to see our beautiful country! Your sidecar rig is an awesome machine, and I wish you the best of luck! I am sure you will meet some really great fellow riders too!
    Cheers!

First thank you all for all the well wishes and support.

Haven't gotten in photosynch just yet. But here are some that were taken on the go.

    The lonely Town of Jellico....

Every TAT rider sleeps/eats here before taking the TAT. Not much to see. Lots of stores are closed.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

This is the street that is about 1.5 miles out of Town and leads to the entrance of the beginning of the TAT. TAT'ers have for a decade made their right turns here.

It was early an early misty, foggy morning when I entered the famed paved street.

Within 1/2 mile the pavement ends and the gravel begins for the next 18+ miles.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

There are a lot of stray dogs on the road. The Town of Jellico feeds these dogs via an occassional visit by the local game warden who scatters dogfood on the local grounds of the TAT. So be aware that these little critters.

This little guy caught me unaware and came begging for some handouts.

One finds these in the middle of nowhere...

This was a great paved/gravel ride into the gravely game preserve. Saw lots of wild life: Rabbits, Deer, phesants, etc.

    My first Tennesee water baptism...:rofl.

Sorry for the lackadaisial narrative and photoshoot.

Am in Sparta, TN now nursing my "funk". Haven't been in synch about the ride and some ailments are bothering me: something behind my lower left rib cage...ahem...... the coming of age:huh?

    Cheers...

This sign was actually posted by a in the middle of nowhere homeowner.

Oh, yeah...there's more... at most intersecting corners there is an array of "named" Churches pointing left and right...totally Fubar!

Makes it easy 'going' to Church, you never get lost finding a/your Church.

In another area, but failed to take a snap shot..ggrrr....There's a massive Cross within 50 yards of an also massive "Gentlemen's" Club.
