I got a 3% raise and now take home an extra $14.00/day......but at least I'm enployed!

Good to hear you got a raise, and a job. Why not start to the instrument rating right away, sounds like the way to go, as they got a heck of a pay increase. i don't blame you for wanting to fly the C135, then move up to the clouds, and better pay. Does the company help pay for the training to get your instrument rating? If so go for it, for many reasons. It is pretty easy

Saturday sleep-in Doc?!?!

Blue skies again for the umpteenth day in Lubbock. Making a plan to go up to Palo Duro canyon with the kiddos this weekend.

Got to get used to this yard thing. Everyones yard on the block is neat and clean, ours is country brown and sticks out like a sore thumb. oops.

Dang DANG DARNIT! We were going to go stay saturday night over there but decided we were too pooped from all the holiday festivities.

Internet Stalker Ray (RJHarris) is in town from St Louis, we are supposed to have lunch with him today and let our famdamilies hang out.

Palo Duro is ok if you have never seen any thing at all in your life. But you will have to see . Some of us just cant see the forest for the woods . That could be me. Let us know what you think after a day there. Be sure and take a ride on the brass monkey train. I will try to be in Amarillo next week and I will try to make it to Lubbock is there any thing you need from here.

Watch for the rattlers there are doing good this year. And that is there home.

Meh, Big Bend is a a heck of a lot better, and that's really not saying much.

Palo Duro Canyon:

Hope you have better luck at seeing than I did. Once I got there, there was just this big crevice in the earth... if that Palo Duro thing was down there at the bottom, I couldn't see it on account of it was too far down.

Same with the forests I've tried to see. Once I get there, can't see it for all the trees in the way.

I had a pair of those goggles once with pres lenses. Sure could see good but they did not fit the enduro/hs "look" very well. Maybe it would have been better with a goatee snd stash.

just had a nice little rain shower..barely settled the dust, but sure made the Mtn smell good tho...still some thunder out there..maybe some more rain, I hope

We went for a morning ride to take advantage of lower temps. We got p-o-u-r-e-d on. The dog didn't like it too much but all in all it was a pretty decent ride.
