I fitted mine last week - work well and have about the same diameter as the original ones

I didn't feel much difference either, but they sure are hot as hell. I guess I will only use them in really cold weather, which we have a lot of here in Norway.

    Yes of course.

Now another more pressing problem with the heated grips have come to my notice. The damping adjustment menu is gone!!!!
Called my dealer who fitted the grips and they had newer heard about such a thing. Hopefully they can fix it on Thursday, as I'm leaving for three weeks bike trip on Saturday! Feels like the bike is on Sport damping now (it was when I put it in the shp), but have no idea of preload, as the one/two/luggage indication on the dash is gone as well. Judging from height it is on one person (as I left it).
Anyone else experienced this and know for a fact that it's only a plug and play fix? (my nerves are thin at this point):huh

They need to reload the electronic suspension , I had the same problem and I couldn't change the damping and there was no man signal in my dash board and they plug it in and boom it's done. Go to your dealer and say them to plug your bike in and ask the computer for trouble shooting ;) hope you will sort it. Because your eletronic suspension isn't working at the moment !

I am sooooooo close to getting one of these :-) Any opinions on the optional luggage with metallic cases? I am leaning towards the Holan Nomada setup as it looks a lot better. Decicions, decicions.......

Holan Nomada is by far the best looking luggage for that bike. KTM plastic cases are ... ehm... let's say they are *different*, I'll never do that to a bike I love :lol3 And I don't like the asymmetry and width of the oem aluminum cases
You may also want to drop an email to globescout to learn if they are developing a luggage system, I bet they are.

If you guy's are going to run the straps through those alum. clips I would highly suggest taking some emery cloth and lightly sanding down the sharp edges on the aluminum clips so they don't cut through the straps from vibrations. I've had that happen.

Anyone got any suggestions for luggage options they have tried outside of KTM panniers, actually panniers in general really?

Something a little more sporty looking perhaps?

I have Sw-Motechs, had them on all of my bikes; find them ok. Wanted Nomadas this time, but couldn't; didn't want trouble in the customs.

ha I meant Texas QLD mate not US. :-)

having trouble getting bank to transfer money for bike, so wont pick it up till Monday now.

Will ride out to Texas (near NSW border on my Strom) you are welcome to join us if you want. (although not sure about accom)

Ther is some event going on declaring Texas as the first motorcycle friendly town in QLD (or something like that) I have been invited by a journo friend who is doing a story.

But even if you cant make it there will be plenty of other opportunities.
