Sorry, no sign, but a great pic: This is Burg Hohenwerfen in Austria - the castle featured in "Where Eagles Dare".
Well in a few weeks I must turn in my pictures to qualify as a finisher. As I uploaded my pictures, I was reminded of all the cool places that I have been to this year. I also thought of the missed opportunities. I drove through Binghamton NY 3 times with my rally flag and camera with me, only to blast on through because of time constraints. There are others also I will work on that in the next Grand Tour . First trip with my Aux Fuel tank SpartanBurg SC BlacksBurg SC ChristiansBurg VA More to come

How about this? This is the lighthouse at Cape Race Newfoundland. it was the only land based station to receive a distress signal from her that night. In 1910 the New York Associated press had an office at Cape Race to relay their news stories from Britain to New York. Robert Huntson was the operator of the Cape Race station during the Titanic disaster and received a message from the Titanic. He took notes that later revealed at 10:25pm EST on April 14 the Titanic distress signal was heard. 10:35 The titanic called the Carpathia and said "we require immediate assistance." At 10:55 another message was picked up "Have struck iceberg and sinking." At 11:36 the Olympic contacted the Titanic and requested its coordinates. Titanic replied "We are putting women off in the boats." At 12:50 April 15 the Virginian told the station that it had lost contact with the Titanic.
...maybe it could be the Santa Clause run for us California folks. Lots of Santa (and San) towns here (Santa Ana, Santa Clarita, San Diego, San Pedro, etc.)
You need to check in with these guys next spring, This is their ride. Every year they come up with a new theme for the Grand tours. www.glmc.org/ I have visited 15 states doing GLMC rides. Its a fun reason to get out and ride.
