Once you got out of the fog 5 Mile was fine.

The Holland people picked it right right up and loved the ride.
It's her son and my grand daughter in the back.

No one was immune from the mud we found on the way
    back to the cars.

The Blaster doesn't have the same mud protection as the rest.:D

Thanks for the heads up. I kinda like my 450 as is, no troubles in the techy stuff at all.

All funds at this point are being diverted to diapers, cribs, transfer case gears, suspension lifts, etc.

Revloc don't make one for the XR... I want one just for less impact on my hacker/farmer induced tendonitis. If i'm not at work on a keyboard then i've got a shovel in my grip, and the the revloc would suite me just fine. Does anyone know of similiar that will work for the xr?

    No, don't do it!

    Have you read this?

    http://borynack.com/XR650R/xr650r_forks.htm

If you have the forks off, do the mod on page 2 where you drill out the compression valve. This is a major improvement! The XR suffers from too much compression resistance. That is why you hop off the trail!

Then use 2.5 wt oil. Mike down at Cycle House has some in stock.

I think this guy has the right idea. This approach could really improve the traction....

Is there anything on that bike that Honda provided???? :rofl:rofl:rofl

You could send them the template for their next dual-sport....if they'd put the e-start 700 cc quad motor into your design, the results would put the KLR, DRZ, XRL, 800GS bikes out of business.....:deal

Well unless Honda figured out a way to make the XR650/700 engine NOT vibrate like a weed wacker at highway speeds....I'd say the other adventure bikes are safe. Put Husky's 576cc engine which is buttery smooth and you've got a decent bike.

I thought your xr650r was the 'best dirt bike in the world' as per your advertisement?! All the bike really needs for tarmac is gearing or a six speed!
I would be more concerned w/ balancing your tires than whether or not you scratch your rims while changing the tires. Vibration can be caused by numerous factors and I don't think you can find fault w/ an xr650r engine except for the expense of 5 or more rear tires during a riding season! The xr650r is king.
GISKEV showed A1one a video of our last ride together tailgating your 450 in the tight and loose stuff as well as fast straightways. I didn't see your Cannondale pulling away even for a moment. Husqvarnas often have six speeds and recently even had a factory racer seven speed! The current production Husqvarna motors are built in China after the beamer buyout so cross both fingers if you decide to purchase a new one:huh

Yup, Tusk kits are cheap, easy, and work very well.

And even better, the service and speed of Rocky Mountain ATV.

Regarding Kev following me on the trail and me not pulling away...
That's because I was trail riding not racing. I would put money that I can go faster on a 450cc bike over a 650cc bike on a B.O.R. type desert race. I'm usually not a betting man or horn-tooting type but right now I could use the money. Anyone who claims that them riding their XRR can do a faster time in a B.O.R. race vs me 450X and willing to put a friendly wager down? Only caveat is that it can't be FROG. Besides he's orange anyways.

Each bike has benefits and minuses. The XRR is not a smooth engine. The Cannondale will not make the power of a modern 450 or XRR. The Husky 576 engine is very smooth and is faster than my XRR engine. That's just my observation from having both.

Besides the best bike is the best you've ridden. So far I have to say the CRF450X.

A1 is the fastest sofa racer in ADvland!

Sound's like i get to race MichaelAngelo w/ A1's money! Sweet! MichaelAngelo, I'll throw the race for 50% of your take! Otherwise, there's a lot of pressure to keep up if when filming! I do have a little footage of Frog's ass, and about 30 seconds of footage of frog's buddy Daniel (Mr. #1 win in some race or other) so i guess footage is proof so i don't need to race any of you turtles!:deal:rofl:clap

On a side note, thanks Harcus for doing the XR borneyack psuedo gold valve and stack tweak to my forks today! My XR will be sooooo smooth I'll be ditchin' TrailTwister's 300 2smoke on the cliffs of Hobble on my Pig!

Infidel, GardenGrrrrl is impressed at how easily you can incorporate the porn you've been watching into any topic that "comes" up like a real "beat" poet!

XR's are the best, therefore no one is allowed to post anything to this thread again, until Frog buys an XR.:1drink
