I never gave the tmax a thought. It's out of production and hard to find; and not different enough to merit a search. I'll wait for the inevitable Chinese clone. Now, YOU, on the other hand...let's put it this way. You obligate us to give you a thought. Not a nice thought, either. Get thee hence, troll!...else, mend your ways.
It does't matter what you ride, it matters that you love the ride. I'm in heaven on this SW and rode ALL weekend. Bought & registered Friday. Have not been off it yet. Hope this thread turns back into what is was meant to be...
I am still pretty keen on a Burgman 650. Does anyone have a tall Givi windshield on their 650, I was wondering do you look through that windshield or over the top of it? A local guy is selling one, asking $5500 for a 09 with 5K miles. Might be a little high, but I like the white color. What would you pay for that? It has the tall Givi shield and backrest.
Better idea to look just over the upper edge, than to look through. One doesn't want rain-spotting, grime, or kamikaze insects, to obscure one's vision. If the screen's TOO tall, then trim it down slightly. Windscreen FAQ How to Cut Down Motorcycle Windshields for Safety

It has the tall Givi shield and backrest.[/QUOTE] I just bought, 08 Silverwing that had the following mods: K&N air filter, Ja Costa variator, Leo Vince 4 Road Pipe, Power Commander III Controller, Clear View Windshield, Corbin Seat / 1 backrest, and he threw in a new Shoei helmet for $5,500. 1,250 miles. Although the mods were significant, the seat was the dream. I thought I paid $500 to much for my budget, but rode it and said fuck the budget. The only mod I am going to make is the windshield. I'm buying the Givi Air Flow.
Doesn't sound out of line to me especially with the riding season coming on and the additional pressure of gas prices the market is heating up fast. I paid slightly more than that in January for a white 09 with about the same mileage and the tall Givi shield. I wouldn't have it any other way. Not much use in a shield if you still get whacked in the eye from a bug buzzing over the thing. Mine did come with a Givi box and mounting rack and the backrest extension so that added some value for paying slightly more. I've been riding this thing like it was going out of style and loving it. Go for it and enjoy!!
Thanks for those links, interesting. Just as I suspected, extra hassle, technically I should get money off for that, but I doubt he would see it that way. I guess it's all good if he has the stock shield, ha.
It is very tempting. I have a lot of summer classes, running my daughter around, it wouldn't be so bad if I could get her on the back of the Burgman. I'd also like the option of cross country runs. Thanks!
I didn't get much saddle time for the first month of ownership due to winter and rain, but the last month and a half I logged about 1600 to 1700 miles and it has given me more enjoyment than many of the other bikes I've owned over the years.
I paid $5k out the door for my 08 650 Exec with 4,000 on the clock 2 weeks ago. It is completely stock - no after-market parts anywhere. I don't think its ever been ridden in the rain - its very clean. Other than a couple of very minor scratches it appears as new. Even with gas prices climbing like a rocket and good riding weather there seems to be little interest in scooters in my area. I see the same ads on Craigs List week after week and it isn't like there's a ton of them - just a few. We are more of a quad and dirt bike area than motorcycles. Some areas are hotbeds for scooters and the price might be a bit low. I'm wondering if this guy will ever sell his 650 - http://spokane.craigslist.org/mcy/2920859905.html - this is a great reminder that the cool custom paint job you want to put on your ride might not attract others to buy your ride.
...and that owner would be all over that lettering (change it) if he could sell it. I think the paint job is butt-ugly. But what do I know???
I've done a quick search on google for the Give Airflow for my 650 Exec. Doesn't seem to be one made for it.

Oops, didn't snap you had B650. The adjustable stocker is not sufficient? Perhaps adding a laminar lip to the stock may do the trick?
