I relocated the trailer hitch from the bike to inbetween the bike and sidecar. The first pic is during the mockup. You can see my foot print on top of the square tubing, if it holds my 230 pounds plus, I think it will support the trailer tounge. The other couple of pics is after I got finished up.

And the trailer wiring is over on the bike, it looks like it will reach.:D

I found a 2002 front caliper for my 2001, they upgraded the calipers for 2002. It's a direct bolt-on, has 2 times the pad area, and a double piston too.

    Old Brake style

old style pads, only uses one set only about a 2" x 2 1/2"

New pads are at least double the size of the old style ones

Well I got my handlebar set-backs/risers. I just put them on before dark-thirty and road tested them. The set my handlebars back about 2 1/2" and up about 1/2", they are adjustable, I wanted the set back because it would give a more relaxed riding position, plus better leverage when it came to turning. I had 2 sidecar passengers, and the steering effort was less than before. I give it 2 thumbs up........here is a couple of pics.

That looks good, I'm doing something similar on my rig.
Make sure your trailer pigtail has enough slack for right turns.

Yeah Bob, I might need to reroute some wires. I already have a hitch on the bike and had the wires routed to the back of the fender, and the pigtail on the trailer has some extra length. So I am hoping that I wont need to make an extender for my wires.

Well put in the new clutch, kevlar friction plates with heavier duty springs. Tested it and you can feel the heavier spring effert in the clutch lever. Then got to work on the tub body.......painted the bottom to the body break line. It's a rattle can job, but with proper prep, it will look decent.

Getting ready to take the tub off.

Here's the frame, gonna freshen it up while I am at it.

Not a pristine paint booth to say the least......but I can make it work......it's all I got brotha.

    Another frame pic.....

Suspension and wheel pic, see the shiney spot, it was rubbing a hole in the bottom of the tub, looks like it needs a 1/4" spacer.

My work surface, for the clutch job.....

A little blurry, but you get the idea.....

In process pic.......it will turn out pretty good, I promise........not near done yet.:norton

    Looking good!
Try to find a spacer that fits your hub. I used some universal ones on a car that threw the balance off big time, couldn't get them centered. Eventually spent the $ for proper fit hub centric spacers, instant fix.

@ Bobmws, I was just gonna space the tub upwards by 1/4" over all.

I finally found a car tire that will fit on the front rim of the bike.....a 175/60-16......it will be here Monday or Tuesday, and I am in dire need of it to after inspecting my current tire situation. I will be working on installing my car tire on the rear at the same time. New brake shoes will be put on at that time also. Then a reinstall of the painted tub, install the fuel cell and plumb and wire it too. Wow, I have alot to do next week. :eek1 Well time to get back to work on the tub......peace out brotha

I admit, I am not a painter, and it shows. I have a couple of spots to fix, then sand it down with some 1000 grit then clear it.......It will look better after the clear. Here is a couple of pics just after I pulled all of the tape off of it.

Fix the little minor screw ups and it will look very presentable.:norton

For some reason the paint on the front of the tub was lifting, so resand it all down and started the painting process all over again on the hood portion, all the rest of the paint stuck really good, don't know why it didn't, the primer did, the color didn't stick to the primer. I do it again.......and if it don't stick again, I'll sand it down again.

I got my tires in today......the one on the left goes on the back.
