Maybe, if the Giants are lucky, Verlander can pitch on short rest and get into three games.

Yeah, that was really nice. :clap

MadBum comes through! Up two games to none going to Detroit feels pretty good.

I suppose if you're a Giants fan, then it would feel good. Nice absent bats, Tigers. Idjits.

The post season is all about being hot at the moment. The Giants are. I'm of the opinion that the long layoff really hurt the momentum that Detroit had throughout the playoffs.
It ain't over 'til it's over, and that lineup is still pretty damned scary. :eek1

Speaking of which: where's that "Pride, Power, and Pinstripes" thread these days. :deal :poser

The Yanks folded like a card table. A very, very expensive card table.

The Tigers have been under-performing offensively all season. The sweep game of the Yanks is what they should be capable of doing every night, but they are far more likely to score 1-3 runs instead. Very frustrating to watch what is usually very good pitching go for naught because there is no run support.

Uh, that's pretty much what they scored against the Yankees too, until the last game. It was just that the Yankees were even worse....

No, you love watching that- as long as it's the other team doing it. :D

    Good Job Giants. :thumb

A run without an RBI the other run without a hit, great fundamental baseball, great pitching and defense and a knowledgeable crown that understood the importance of EVERY pitch and EVERY situation and a team that enjoys the moment and knows how to keep it fun in a beautiful City on a beautiful night. :raabia

It's certainly not over by any stretch but the pride swells.

I liked when they showed a sign like this last night. (I can't find a pic of the one they showed)
