Thanks for the photo! I think it looks more complete with the beak, but that might be because I have ridding GSs for quite a while and we still have a F650GS thumper in the garage ... I'll give it some time and then decide whether I got used to it or whether the optic is still incomplete.
Thanks I think I have all I need from the Twisted Throttle link. It looks like this is a new plate - I bought mine from Twisted Throttle and I don't think this was available when I got mine. Gives me something to think about.
I have one of these, with the adapter plate if anyone is interested. Used it with a Hepco box so also have the adapter that screws on.
I bought the CJRacer rack before I bought my Tiger. Its a beautifully machined and functional piece. The black anodizing still looks great. edit: It has spend the majority of its life under a large tail bag.
Nope. Don't think I want to spend money on something that's already there and works ... What benefit would this have? The arrow comes with a bad mileage map, the others - so far I don't see a gain there, other than slightly lower weight.
Managed to snag me a very limited Chef Ramsay Edition Tiger! Comes with built-in cutting board and only available in white to represent "Chef Ramsay's pure, angelic, and motivating way with words" to quote the sales brochure. Then I decided, I wasn't going to cook much while riding anyways, so I bolted this thing to it: More better!
Laid my Tiger 800 down yesterday Very slowly on some dirt . Bars seem to have shifted, I cannot believe they are bent due to the very low speed. I believe they shifted in the top triple clamp. Does anyone know the official torque settings for the triple clamp as I want to try and loosen and straighten. Thanks guys/girls.

Battery must have enough juice to run the fuel pump and fire the injectors. My money is on the starter or starter circuit.
You are correct, fork tubes are most likely "tweaked" a bit in the triple clamps. A common occurrence in a fall. Nothing is bent. Does the 800 Tiger have rubber mounted handlebars? If so, then the bars could also be "Tweaked". The quick and easy fix for the fork tubes is to simply tap front tire on a post or rock gently. Ride bike. Oh, you went the wrong way and now it's worse? Tap the other way. Eventually you will get it straight. Ride to verify. Nothing is bent. Tap tap tap. The Official way to solve this is to slightly loosen all triple clamp bolts, elevate front wheel. Give the bars a sharp back and forth shake. Re-torque. Never over tighten triple clamp bolts ... you can CRUSH fork tubes.
Or sidestand switch When mine went TU, I think I had the same symptoms (on mine a rock hit the switch plunger preventing it from moving out enough when the sidestand was up and so the bike thought it was still down and wouldn't start).
