Isn't that what the F800GS is targeted at?

Not to turn this into an oil-thread, but could it be that the new GS won't be water cooled but rather have a large oil cooler with a fan?

I get tired of this kind of crap about the GSA. Based on the last paragraph you don't want a GS at all. Just get an RT.

I have a GSA and ride it off road quite a bit and I am 5'8" and wish I was built like a linebacker. A GSA a Hummer? You've got to be kidding. It has a tank that holds a couple extra gallons and has some extra travel. How does that make it a hummer? It weighs less dry than my old 1100 GS!! So don't give mr this crap about it being so big. I use that extra suspension and I use the extra fuel capacity and love the fact it has both.

Just ride what you like and don't bash others rides.

You may be right, but I may be crazy.

:hmmmmm I don't see a water pump or hose either, looks like maybe an oil cooler and line up front. :dunno
Some finning in front of cylinder/head also.... could still be called a "wethead"

Are you assuming that the tank is that thing in front of the rider? If BMW moved the air box forward for a straight shot to the heads the tank may be someplace else. :dunno

The BAR-DESIGN image? That's an artists conception based upon what can be seen in the early spy photos and an existing bike. Based upon the latest photos they got at least some things wrong. Note the windshield, for example.

In looking at these pictures I do not understand why the exhaust pipe needs to be bent forward and then loop around back again. Seems needless bends, length weight. The place meant of the foot peg, brake or shifter seem far enough back so there would be not interference. Might it be a heat thing?

My guess, vote also be for the large wide tank thing is a combo radiator ducting, air box, with the fuel tank and battery under the seat and maybe further back like the F800s. The picture sure do make that tank/radiator thing wide...nearly as wide as the cylinders.

PS in the previous post I was not taking a shot at the GSA...just some fun at the parking lot ballerinas tip toeing around.

Dont know the exact #'s, but there is quite a significant difference between the 2 in the ability to shed heat.

The bar-design image shows a significantly different bike.

I'm refering to the picture Spoke reposted, not the first ones in the thread, of course :D

Now were getting somewhere. Best shot yet. Kinda looks like the oil filter below the cylinder.
