i forgot about this one....was rather depressing sitting on the curb when I didnt know that the bike was still ride able. I was certain the thing was finally toast after this episode. But the tank lives on!!!!

Didn't happen to be wearing your helmet cam? Might help convince the city they were in the wrong. Post it on YouTube. Nothing like a little bad publicity to encourage a large entity like that to do the right thing. Then again, it is government, who generally doesn't give a shit since they answer to no one.

especially this town - the only thing they care about it siphoning money out off the residents in the form of parking tickets and pushing their left wing agenda on everyone else including neighboring states.

For what it's worth, my bike has been rear-ended twice. Once at a traffic light while stationary (drunk guy, I dropped the bike) and once while moving on the motorway (managed to stay on the bike). That was was 50-60000km ago, the final drive lives on.

    Good luck with your case.

Dealing with getting money out of the gubmint can be a challenge.......A friend of mine was in the wrong place at the wrong time, CalTrans dropped a fiberglass exit sign, (As it was being hoisted to be installed) and she drove THROUGH it. She was having no luck getting the state to pay for the damage to her car, but 6 months later, she got a bill from the state for their sign. It all worked out, once she lawyered up. Her insurance company paid for her car repairs -1000 bucks deductible. But they told her she was on her own for the sign.

Eatpasta you are an upstanding guy, it takes a cool person to be the brunt of so many jokes (we all mean well of course and are glad you were not injured) and then do it to yourself! That story mashup was hilarious.:rofl :clap

when I was lying on the ground after that blender thing hit me, I was thinking "jeezus, did I really just get hit by a mower?"

then when I started to realize I was ok and moved to the curb, already the scene to me was comical.....
