Picking it up Tuesday. Cann't wait. It's on a 08 plate. Weight reduced for rallying and come with a road map and other bits and bobs for competing in a Rally. Here's a few pics.

It's an akrapovic exchaust. Sounds amazing. Really loud, may need ear plugs. It was a competion bike. It will be used for every thing now.
Looks like the OP has cut down the standard low front guard to make them into fork protectors. Nice bike. Welcome to the club!
It hadn't been used since its last rally last year and I did notice dirt on the chain. I'm hopefully picking up a Haynes Manual during the week so I'll check the chain tension then as I know nothing about 640's yet.
I reckon most manuals (including 640 KTM manual) result in the chain being too tight. Just sayin. Better loose than tight (for KTM chains anyway )
Is there a Haynes manual (or something similar) available for 640 Adventure KTM's? I have an 07 and haven't had any luck finding one yet...

When you go to p/u the machine take along 30 feet of rope. If you are not given the rider's manual, the fork and shock manuals and the tool kit complete with the KTM bottle opener...show the salesman the rope that you are authorized to hang him with or offer to weave a rope from his own hair to accomplish the same. The rider's manual gives specific instruction on adjusting the chain as well as measuring it for wear. Unless you are using non OEM links it is accurate. bill
