After I overheated the rear brake on my 4RT I had to replace the rear disc. It never worked properly after getting that hot. I've overheated lots of brakes and not had to replace the disc. The hydraulics of your brake are the same as any other modern Trials bike.

Since my last, I have taken the Montesa out two more times and the brake seems to work better. I bled some more fluid through it, and didn't see any bubbles come out, it will brake slide the tight corners now. I am not much of a trails rider but this bike[Cota 4RT] is pert good and much fun. It must have been a lack~a~slack thing?

When was the last time you seen two Montesa 4RTs together. I have only seen three of them, counting these two. Oh yea there was a Gas Gas there also. Wetsiderider had his new to him 05 out for its first shake down run. Mark was showing us how it is done with his trusty 280 GG 2 smoke.

The last year the 4rti has been completely ignored while I've been riding the new GasGas. Since the Ute Cup is quickly approaching, I dusted off the Montesa, gave her 3 kicks and she came to life and purred like a kitten.

I'd forgotten how much I like about the 4rti until riding it this past weekend. It rides completely different from the GG. In some ways better and in other ways, not so much. Regardless, I can't wait to get to the mountains and never even think about touching a carb. :D Well, I might think about it a little while sipping a margarita and making fun of my campmates tinkering with their carbs. :evil
