Two weeks ago purchased a tomtom rider. Normally 699.00, on sale at Best Buy for 450.00. Used it on a 600 mile moto trip. Not too bad.

I just googled them and all signs point to a bait and switch scam site. Whenever I'm not sure about a new online retailer I just google the name of the place and "scam" or "rip off" usually points you in the right direction.

Yes, they appear to be one of the many electronic scam sites.

Is $255 too much for a Garmin 60cx?
Any issues with the "refurbished" ones for $30 less?

I must say I'm tempted to get a 2720 for the price alone. The only thing holding me back is that I'm really not sure about it not having a battery... Do you find yourself in a lot of situations where you wish you could unplug it and go sit in your tent to do route planning?

Here's my post on where I got the 2720 for $112.95 with a few extras thrown in. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9552117&postcount=196

But, I also take a 60Csx with me to use when I need something with batteries. I think they compliment each other quite well.

I can't find a Zumo 450 for much less than the 550? I do not need the extras on the 550? Refurb is fine...Anyone?

Bought a 2720 for Dad through them for $107. Came complete with sealed box in 3 days. Good retailer from my one point of view.

Costco has ann 855 Garmin for $200 off, ends up $299. Don't know if best deal but not a bad price I am guessing.

I just ordered a 2820 refurb w/ant for $324 shipped. My rational for the purchase is :

    1. My Inno (MP3/XM) got runned over. While it still plays fine, the diisplay is messed up.
    2. Recent attempts to upload MP3 on to Inno have failed.
    3. The older I get the shorter my memory. I find myself pulling over more often to consult the map.
4.Was going to buy a tank bag, mostly for the map pocket.

    Questions:

1.Assume the MP3/XM output through headphone jack is stereo?
    2. Will unit record XM?
    3. This unit does not have an internal battery. Could I rig up a 12v extention cord (20') so I can play in my tent?
    4. I'll be traveling w/ a netbook (12v). Could I draw power from netbook?
    5. I've got a suction goose neck mount laying around. Will this sufice?

    This should be fun:D
