No, but I'd stongly consider it. I've done bits of it in CO and some of the CO section of the Shadow of the Rockies trail. A Belgian couple gave me those maps.

I'd do it. The roll chart drives me crazy but out west it wouldn't be so bad. It might help to have a really nice roll chart, know what I mean? Halfplate Maybe if I bought the maps some kind soul would let me down load the tracks to my Garmin. Seems like riders like a smaller bike on that section but I'd probably lean toward taking my big bike for the ride back. Heck, I would do that this summer, finish it off. I've never been all the way to the west coast. I'm getting ready to pull of the front wheel and send it off to Woody's Wheel works. I've dinged it up and have a ton of weights on it to smooth it out.

Why, you wanting to do it? We could high ball it out to Oklahoma and pick it up there. Check out that Forever West ride. If I don't get lured to another ride, I'd just about do the TAT through Oklahoma into CO. Then pick up that Forever West ride going west to Utah, do the circle clockwise, then ride back. :evil Leaving June 20th?

I won't know for sure until I do my taxes but I am really considering doing just that and on that time line.

Leaving a few days after school lets out and doing the Western 1/2 of the TAT.

That old grate section flattened out pretty good with the help of a rosebud torch to apply a little heat:

That weekend looks good for me Jimmy. I was thinking of tenting it at the hotel site but could go in on a room or just chip in some $ for use of the shower.PM me with your thoughts.

The bikes still at Morton's. Stuart; the Service Manager, seemed to be confident it would be an easy fix-he feels it's a bad coil that acts up once the bike gets warmed up causing it to intermitently stall/surge.Should have it back soon.I'll keep you posted.

Am pretty sure that's an R1150GS, not the R1200. Oilhead vs. Hexhead. Still, it is a pretty decent deal. I paid $8900 for my 2001 R1150GS in 2004, with 19,000 miles on it.

Eddy dropped his bike off today. Waiting for lift extensions, and once we have those up it goes to give it a good once-over.
