Have you ever wanted to participate in trials, but were just not sure what, exactly, was involved? Here is your opportunity to find out. SactoPITS is hosting another Trials Training Day at Prairie City OHV on Saturday, December 7, 2013 Please be sure to pay the Prairie City day fee at the gate. We will have three types of training: Observer/Checker Training (How to observce and score riders at a trial, what are the criteria for the score) Organizer Training (How to setup sections for a trial) Beginner Rider Training The agenda for the day is: 9:30 Meet and get organized into teams 10 AM - Start training Noon -1 Lunch break (bring your own lunch) 1-3 - Bringing it all together The organizer trainees will have set up at least one section, that the beginning rider trainees will ride, whilst being scored by the checker trainees. Other riders will eventually join in the fun, providing lots of real world practice. SactoPITS members earn 5 points as either trainer or trainee, except for rider trainees. CAT Alto Pit Trials in Prescott AZ December 8th is CANCELLED due to inclement weather and high probability of 3-4 inches of snow. Doh!
Hey all. Graydog and I will be setting the CAT Trial at Valentine on March 16 next year. Valentine is a private ranch, in the desert East of Kingman AZ. Awesome high traction granite and decomposed granite sand. If all goes according to plan, should have around a 3 mile gnarly trail loop for Sportsman through Pro with considerable elevation change each loop, and a couple of ridge top high pucker factor sections. Morning riders usually have a shorter loop, but excellent creek bottom sections, and a good hillclimb or two. Depending on the weather there is often a wet section or two.
