I got to poe's say...9:45 ran into some of the locals:
    mikeinrichmond(new to him Connie, Nice!),
pplassm(New to him GS1000, he bought most of another while we were there!),
Jaysee(new to him SV650 with GSXR front end),
Greenflyfarmer(my KTM brother)....Jeff & Karl actually went for a ride afterward :rofl I went home and did chain maint., cleaning and other non-ride related bs....
Pretty big turn out with a bunch of diversity as usual. Met a couple of new guys to the area looking for dirt, one on a F650GS & another on a Seca 650(but KTM 250 needing action)...next month lets try to organize a ride out from there.

Yup, Jeff had not been west of town so I showed him the little roads south and north of the river, as far west of Columbia. Lunch at the new (about a year) roadhouse out south of the River at Columbia. Good food with very nice and chatty ladies running the show. River House I think. Jeff may start running the good roads west of town now!

Yep, it was nice to catch up with you guys this am. :thumb And way to buy most of a bike this morning Pete! Nice deal.. We'll have to make another lunch run down to Buzz and Ned's soon, 'cause with all the salad and crap I get hangin' with the wife, I'm gettin' a BBQ itch that's gotta get scratched! :dg

I was out playing in the Blue Ridge. Left late Saturday morning and rode up 56 to the BRP. Then all the way to 460 then to Christiansburg to visit friends. This morning I left and toured Blacksburg, took back roads to salem and then back up the BRP to I64.

Ran into my motorcycle twin this afternoon. Another gray DL650 with a large JC Whitney trunk. Both of us had same color gear too. Guy learned to ride last year. The strom is his first bike.

Hey GreenFly, thanks for showing me around today. There's some great riding out that way! I'll be back for sure.
The restaurant was called "By The River Restaurant," Rt. 15 just south of the river. I think the nice ladies were happy to see us! I'll be sure to stop there again.

OK let's make it official..What day this week is best for folks to get to Buzz and Ned's for lunch? :dg

BTW per WeatherChannel, Tues looks like the best riding day of the week, with no chance of rain. How about it, around 11:30-45??

I can make it most any day this week - if the flu doesn't grab me.

Several kids in my son's class have it, and he's running a fever today...
