Some of the "projects/parts" laying around the property. Not sure what he does with this large crane, but it sure is anchored throughout the property. Ok, this was a strange vehicle.
Vehicles that worked for a living and currently retired......for now. A wrecker, looks to be in need of a wrecker. "Welcome to Fantasy Island" kind of jitney. Rail cars. Unusual 4 door wagon with rail attachment.
Not just one 4 door wagon, but he had two that I could find. He restores and repairs them, but don't judge a yard by it's junk. Here's his very clean shop.
A couple of projects he's working on. I sure want this disc brake/rack and pinion setup. Cool gas pump. A cable car? Time for lunch. Hmmm, new project? Wonder how much? Mrs. V says no! Guess I'll have to look at things from afar. It was a beautiful day and I got to see alot of neat vehicles to give me hope for my '56 pickup.
Great Thread, Thanks I may have to look for that place next time I'm down that way. It's a Spar Tree, used for logging http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...fai=CKMP3DFpMTPzfI4PSiAPy14DDBAAAAKoEBU_QYSkI He may just have it on display
Friends, what you are looking at is an Allis Chalmers M7 Snow Tractor, built during WW2 for search and rescue work in the great white north. Willys L-134 engine, Warner T-84 transmission, Spicer 18 transfer case. 291 built in 1943, maybe 30 left in the world. It's supposed to have a pair of surfboard sized skis under the front wheels, and came with a enclosed and heated tagalong sled for ambulance work. Oh, I want - no, no, I COVET that machine.
If anyone is looking to buy I am pretty familiar with this one. It's up on ebay <img index="http://i.ebayimg.com/23/!Bylu!mgCGk~$(KGrHqQOKjQEw(srzsYSBMS,b6hO4Q~~_12.JPG" style="width: 500px; height: 375px;" src="http://i.ebayimg.com/23/%21Bylu%21mgCGk%7E$%28KGrHqQOKjQEw%28srzsYSBMS,b6hO4Q%7E%7E_12.JPG" id="i_vv4-32" alt="Willys : Jeepster"></center></div><div id="vv4-32_bdiv" class="ic-p ic-b1" style="height: 498px; width: 498px;"><div style="display: none;" id="vv4-32_t" class="ic-thr"><span>Please wait</span></div><div style="display: none;" id="vv4-32_e" class="ic-err"><span>Image not available</span></div></div>
