We had to postpone our departure from Morelia for another day, Luisa is still recuperating from salmonella that she picked up in Zacatecas .
So we have lots of time for walking around the beautiful downtown.
These pic are from the famous Conservatorio De Las Rosas , a beautiful building with a very relaxed atmosphere and music in every corner
Some of the pics are out of focus, but they might still be able to transmit the message

Sorry we missed you in Morelia, Julio. Some locals were planning on riding East to Xilitla and beyond this past weekend, but due to weather on the coast we made a last minute decision to head to Morelia via Mil Cumbres instead. You should head out that direction, (east to Ciudad Hidalgo), if it fits your travel plans. It's a great stretch of convoluted road.

Too bad , would have been great meeting you . Mil Cumbres is one of my favorite routes in Mexico, I have it done twice and I will definitely do it again.

Morelia keeps on fascinating me , it's so full of history and of life at the same time . The combination between yesterday and today is always present, on the streets and plazas , in the cultural events and in some of the high end restaurants as well.

In Morelia they have this strange and new custom of having a Zombie Parade the day before the 20 de Noviembre , the Revolution day. Nobody could tell me why or how it started, but it is quiet a big event...

Well, I figure after all the help that you arranged for Hewby, it's the least I can do to repay the favor at a future time of your choosing :clap

Thanks Marcin, but there is no need to repay anything . It's the other way round, I'm repaying some of all the god and help that we received over the last 9 month on our journey. People have just been incredible with us and made our journey so much better .

The world would be such a better place if everybody would just behave like the AdvRider community does !! :clap:clap:clap

But if we ever come back to Seattle we will definitely look you guys up and hopefully get some cooking going :freaky:freaky:freaky
