I thought it looked interesting. Then again, I am 62 and have been riding since I was 11. Anyhow, I went to Amazon and pre-ordered it.

I pre-ordered a copy from Amazon as well. it gets released on my birthday! :clap

I am a member of a group of riders, and we get together for dinner every Wednesday night in the Daytona area. I am going to find one of the restaurants that hosts us to play it on their big screen for us during dinner one night.

I'm sorry if this is a redundant post but I think this is of high interest to our entire community in general. I don't know the best forum to report this news but GS Boxers is the largest audience so I'll post here,

There is a new movie out that looks like a modern version of "On any Sunday" it's called "why we ride" Watch the trailer !!!

it looks like there will be limited showings throughout the country. Look it up and try to find where it is showing near you. I have tickets for the Philadelphia Premire on December 3, 2013. :lurk

I've watched the trailer a couple of times and can't wait to see the movie. It will hardly make it into the cinema here so I hope to be able to buy a copy. On Amazon it says that it will be released on Des. 5th, but only in NTSC format which to the best of my knowledge is not the common format here in Europe :eek1

What you need is a DVD deck that is set up for region zero. It will then play any format. I went online and bought one for something like $75. Another way would be to do a search for a way to reprogram yours. Depending on the make and model, there are those that can be changed by getting into a diagnostic mode that allows changing settings.

Cool, pre-ordered as the chances of it making it to my town are slim.

I saw it at the Philly area theater tonight. I highly recommend seeing it if it comes to a venue near you. It has motorcycles and motorcycle riders in it. How can that not be a good thing.
I thought showcasing the future riders is a fresh approach and I also realized I've been missing out by not going to see a hill climb competition in person.

I'm also planning to buy the DVD when it's released.

    Great stuff.

I pre-ordered yesterday on Amazon. It showed a Dec 5 release date and now today it is showing temporarily out of stock. And a notice on my order status says...

:huhDelivery estimate We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date. :huh

Did anyone actually receive a copy yet? I'll update this if I get any email status changes.

BTW - I don't want this to overshadow what a great movie experience it was. If there's a theater near you showing it, you really should see it on the big screen.

My DVD will be waiting in my mail box in Tuesday 12/10!!!

A friend asked why I did not opt for the digital download. I responded, "I want the DVD to share will by "riding" friends!"
