Seeing it in the theater tomorrow in Buffalo, we had to pre-sell a bunch of tickets to get it in the theater.

The UPS man dropped my copy off the other day and here are my thoughts on the movie:

1 The photography and music are great.

2 They seem to spend a lot more time with shots of people talking about "why they ride" than showing people riding. I know, what did I expect from a movie titled "Why We Ride" but I was hoping this would be "On Any Sunday" updated.

3 I recognized Mert Lawwill, Kenny Roberts, Keith Code, Arlen Ness, and Troy Lee but the others weren't named until the closing credits.

    Just my humble opinion:D

Just go back from seeing this movie. I thought they did a good job. The filming was amazing. I like to hear stories of how people got into motorcycling. There are some great shots of kids and big grins.

For me, it did focus a little too much on racing. Maybe if I had done some racing I would like that part more. A little racing is great but too much for me.

Dirt bikes just look like too much fun. I need to get into that as well and have been thinking about it for some time. My 35 years of riding have been all street but I remember when I was a small kid, how much I wanted that Honda SL70. It hurt.

Some of the characters are quite entertaining. I liked seeing so many women and girls who are getting into motorcycles. The movie is big on families riding together.

All in all, I would see it again and will most likely by the DVD.

Everyone who rides should take 2 people that don't ride to see this movie.
Spread the word, it can only get better for riders if all non-riders see this. Will they watch for us, give us more space ,envy us, respect us ?
    I don't know, but it can't hurt.
I enjoyed it thoroughly. There was a nice balance between racing, dirt, street and a couple of RTW trips in the mix,Ted Simon and Dave Barr.

Saw it today in a theater in Atlanta. It was pretty good. Theater was almost full. Good folks there as you would expect.

I saw it today in Birmingham. Great movie for riders but I'm not sure how well it will go over with people who aren't riders.

I had the same pre-conceived notions so found myself distracted by waiting for the riding part.... I'll be watching it again.

It was fun and had some emotional moments. I was underimpressed. 99.999% of the footage was in California, .0001% Daytona, .0001% Sturgis. Lots of history in CA but much of why we ride is because there is so much more than CA. Included lots of different brands. On Any Sunday was more inspirational. I won my tickets in a raffle and it was worth about that.
