Rainbow says just show up and there's space. That's where I'll be.

Also have space at Daytona KOA Friday night.

    Cedar Key Camping Info
    (So you can find)

Shell Mound is about 9 miles outta town and a primitive site costs $5 night + $2 person over 2 people. ($10 for a site with power)

Is there a number we can call if all else fails? Like can't find 7-11?

If you can't find the 7-11 there isn't a prayer of making Cedar Key. :lol3

That's actually not a bad idea, I'll give ya Rich's cell...oh wait, I better let him do that, or something. :D

Simple cruise around the back roads at Camp Blanding at the BMW rally this winter... Last 7 riders fell behind and started roaming.

One other and I stopped to call the leader and those 5 disappeared never to be seen again... until I remembered that one of them was in a sidecar and had given me his card... We texted them to the exit.:clap

    Hi All,

This is a good question. We plan to get and give numbers at the registration/check in, for this very reason (in case).

That said we didn't think about folks having issues BEFORE we start :D :lol3

So for that possibility. If you are concerned and would like my phone number, please shoot me PM and I will send you my number.

I do plan to give you some numbers when we meet the morning of the ride.

    Cheers

Unfortunately, due to some activity at work, it is not practical for me to leave for Florida in time to take this ride. I'm sure that it would have been a lot of fun.
I now plan to leave NY on Monday, and arrive in FL Tuesday afternoon. This ride has me thinking of heading for Cedar Key, then riding east toward Daytona. I plan on watching the races on Friday and Saturday, then head home on Sunday.
Any suggestions on a map that is detailed enough to guide me through some dirt road travel on my way east? - And where to purchase?
I have used DeLorme Gazeteer in the northeast, but it looks like DeLorme only has the atlas, no folding paper map for Florida.
Thanks, and I hope that I'm not hijacking the thread. Enjoy the ride!

I won't be leaving from NY until Monday. It's going to be a short vacation for me, so I think that I'll be checking out the central / northern region, then the races at Daytona. I'm not planning on the Keys this trip. Never know, though. It wouldn't be the first time that I rode to the keys for a cheeseburger in paradise.
    Enjoy the ride.
