Something like a 50/50 on the front, and a 60/40 (do they even make this) or 70/30 on the back.

Although the battlewings preformed reasonably well @ 17psi over the soft deep sand near moab, Oklahoma. I mean binger, OK.

I can say I at least hung with the more experienced. Most of the roads we rode on were a combination of soft deep red sand and slickrock.

We stopped here because of this

We made our own bypass through the woods, hence the name rusty machetes.

Deeply rutted steep sand climb. The KTM 640 got buried half way up

After the dirt tracks, we hit up some more new gravel roads all the way back to the city. Well most of the way, we drove highway 152 at least half way back

I had the F650 cases, never had them on a GS. Much better than the F650 variant with the four latches, one bar that smoothly expands them or puts them back. I really like them, I also like not having the aluminum skin, which would grind through and fly off in a get off, DAMHIK.

Spacewife wants them for the ST, thank heaven they don't fit. :baldy

Expansion sounds similar to the 12GS varios. Thanks, Phil! :thumb

First and last picture of it clean.

It seems to love the mud, even with the battlewings.

Thanks for sharing these pics with us. I'm about same height and inseam, just heavier, looks like it's lower than a KLR, which will make it easier to handle in the slow stuff.:clap :clap :clap

Hi Blackie. Thanks for the welcome and yes I WAS a pro. This bike is my wife's gift for me - sort of a graduation from pro photography world = loooooong story. :D

She says now I can shoot for myself again and so I thought, "what better way to celebrate shooting freedom than to do it as I ride?". So here I am.

Nice freaking pics everyone. I'm still waiting until we get confirmation on a large tank for touratech. I think it's just an ego thing. :dunno

about the same, with the silencer in. A bit more growly, but not obnoxious, with it out.:deal I'm switching back and forth, trying to see if it makes a difference in my mileage. So far, doesn't seem to.

It's 6 pounds lighter than stock, too, which is the important part.
