We Just put a mudbog event on this weekend with a bunch of crazy high horsepower machines trying to make it down a pit filled with heavy mud.
Pics are coming but I know you guys and girls have been out wheeling this summer.

    C'mon give up the pics....:thumb

Makes me a little teary to post this. Wilma was the club treasurer for many years and the firm mother to alot of us.
The old school ways with the sense of humor to match.
We all love her and at our annual mud bog event on friday night at 7 we got the call that her lung cancer finally took her.
The entire Churchill family was present as they always are.
    They are a Jeep'n family.

    Rip Wilma will miss you.

    Love Nwgs.

Two years ago we did the Famous Rubicon and Fordyce trails in the Nevada Mountains.
Today we leave again after 2 years of mods and upgrades to our Jeeps.
Check this thread over the next couple weeks. We hope to post some nice pictures of our adventures on the Rubicon trail.

Took a ride along our southern border here in San Diego, here's a picture of the benchmark that delineates the border and Tijuana in the distance

    Ok,
I'm gona start this little Rubicon thing out with a proper hellow.

    :kumbaya

I need to get the Salutes out of the way right off.
Cos was kind enough to ride down and spend the day with Tammy and I before we took off.
I think I can speak for the Greek when I say he thinks the salute might be a bit outa place in the world. So if your gona do it you gota sneek it in.
    Love ya Cos my Brother.

Ok here's a little teaser pic.. Talked to this guy quite abit. We left before he made it outa this. But we camped with him at the dam.

He says Ah yea I broke my Pitman arm. I'm like how the hell did ya fix that.
He says. I got a spare. I'm like who carries a spare pitman arm?
I says.. weren't ya worried that it was your steering box.
He says... Hell yea. Don't have a spare one of those.

Hahaha. Just another day of Jeep'n. Didn't get pictures of the front spring shackle I broke to busy fixing it. Lucky my buddy Bill has an onboard welder.

Heres a pic of Pitman Man. They run with a club north of LA.

    More pics of him later.

Yea, he actually drove outa this.

Pictures never do justice. They just don't. You all know that.
Here's the deal with the Rubicon trail. Oh I do like the Fordyce trail much better. But it was closed this year so. The deal with the Rubicon is it never gives up. Most 4 wheel drive trails give you a little break. The Rubicon is wheeling from start to finish.

Here's Bill going thru and obstacle. Oh the other thing is your wheelin constantly it's hard to stop and get pics. But I got me some.

nothing new in that- -remember the Jeepster? Jeep used to make small cars back in the 50's. Everything old is new again.

I for one am glad to see DC out of Jeep. Maybe they'll put solid axles back under the trucks...

Yabbut, the Jeepster still had solid front axles, and was a decent off roader. Nothing like a CJ, but it got the job done, specifically it was "trail rated on the rubicon", meaning it did the entire Rubicon in stock form. Even the Wagoneer, with all it's bells and whistles still had a Dana 60 driveline and could do the Rubicon. Those new jeeps are lucky to handle a speed bump without wetting themselves.

    Nice! :clap She looks happy.

I bet the guys detailing the jeep for the wedding were cursing, when they heard the bride was going to be wearing white. :lol3
