Okay, I HATE winter, so I'm headed to AZ for a week again in Feb '13. I'll rent a bike and just "explore". Did it last year on an R1200GS. This year? Who knows? NO plans. Overnight when I'm tired. Drink when I'm dry. Anybody interested?

Oh yeah, I'm interested... but if previous years are any indicator, I can't ride out of Winnipeg until the 3rd week of March, unless there's a melt before then. :-(
Keep me in mind, sometimes there's a late Feb melt. I'll jump on it!
    Cheers, B

As some of you might know, I dropped my bike and broke the mirror and GPS antenna rubber housing. I took it apart today and nothing really broke, the unit is still working.
What I would like to do is to put the housing back and try to get it as much water proof as possible. I see there are some old material left which feels like some kind of silicon.
Did any of you have any experience with this or recommend what kind of glue I should be using? I wouldn't mind using a little bit more glue around the rubber piece, the look doesn't matter, all I want to make sure is it's water proof.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Unless you can REALLY clean the old silicone off, your best bet is to stick (no pun intended) with a silicone sealant.

Jing, the blue sky and yellow leaves with the white bark of the trees is gorgeous! Great photo my friend!

Please email it my work address and it will be my background for the winter.

some info on the new GS. Looks like a ride-by-wire system, optional cruise control, revised frame. By "anti-hopping" wet clutch I assume they mean it's some sort of slipper clutch?

Interesting. Maybe I have a bit of buyers remorse but, then again, it's bound to have more than a few wrinkles in it. Nothing is ever as rosy as the press release of a marketing dept..

You are right Jing, that is a gun case. Speed Racer likes to ride "prepared" he did roar off a couple of blasts over a secluded lake close to MB/ON border...my ears still ring when I think about that!:rofl
