I used to own an '03 DL1000 and '09 DL650 and am very intrigued by the new 2012. Please share your pictures of the new model to convince me I should buy my 3rd V-Strom. :clap I know there is the general V-Strom picture thread but I think many want to see the new model. Out with the old, in with the new.

These bikes look great. But i dont understand all the blackout treatment on bikes these days. Excessive black on body panels. I am planning on buying one of these things and will at least have the front fender painted to match.Engine is bare thank goodness. Black rims are cool. Probably saves a little paint i suppose. Is anyone making luggage yet?

That's a take on the new name being selected by Wee owners.

blackout is the new modern look
i'd rather see matte blackout than chrome, shiny black or too much silver.
i like bikes with a good bit of black out, some silver accents and touches of main bike color.
i think suzuki did a great job w/ the 3 colors on the bike.

most of the mfg have 12 luggage

I really like the 2012 Adventure. But I do not want the farkles. Just the triple black treatment.

This year during bike week in Daytona, Suzuki had an all black 2012 as a demo. Same as the standard 2012 but without any adventur-isation (or Orange Paint)

Looked Bad-Ass! Hopefully next year we get some *bold new graphics* :D

This is mine with Yann's skid plate and SW Motech crash bars. My first bike but I like it for sure. I made it through mud and tipped it over twice but with the crash bars/skid plate I just had to wipe it off and move on. The plastic is still shiny :)

And Suspension! In fact, I believe only the wheel/tires and frame are direct carry overs. Most of the "not new" comments seems to be focused on the displacement of the engine - many simply expected a larger cc number.

As an '08 650 owner I consider this more of a facelift, allot of stuff on it being the same as an my bike.
Needless to say I can do without the new stuff and price increase the new model brings.
    The 800 Tiger, now that's a succesor :)

Too much talking, need more pictures! ;) I am sure the 2012 Strom has been discussed in length already. Facelift, new or not new, not enough changes, whatever.. As far as I am concerend, they took a great bike, didn't mess with the good stuff, added improvements and made it look better.

Thanks for the pictures that have been posted already. Now let's see some more. I am sure there are more than 3 out there. :)

The Gen 1 Stroms are still going so strong that it will take a while before there are thousands and thousands of new owners posting pics. For me, I absolutely love the Gen2 Strom but my Gen1 works so well, even with 60k, that I'm happy with it. Ill buy a 2012 when I hit 150k on my 04':lol3
