Slime Compressor

I've purchased a Slime compressor from Wally World. The price was low and it is incredibly light. Wondering if anyone has used this new style with the built in air gauge and how well they hold up? Here is a photo...still in the package.

I've got the older, larger slime compressor and it's been through a lot with me. Never fails to work. Of course since I'm carrying it it's always someone else who needs it....

+1 on the older one. Can't kill it.

I have 3 of the older ones. For the $20 each that they were going for, well worth it. One in a Jeep, the other two carried on bikes.

I have the same one. Lopped off the cig plug and wired in an SAE connector. It won't get my DRZ's tires much higher than 25 psi but that's plenty.

Dont lay them on the ground while running, dirt will be the enemy, it may be ok on tarmac.

? I get the rear tire on my Tiger back to 40 psi from 33 psi, no problem.

No problems after about 4 years of use. More rocks than "dirt" here in CO. Point well taken though, suppose I could lay it on one of my gloves or something.

I have one. Its been completely submerged under water for several minutes and it still works fine. The onboard gauge was never very accurate even before the swim.

I've had the same one for a few months. The gauge is a little off, but it works well.

Huh, could be the gauge is just broken. Or that my DRZ's electrical isn't putting out enough power.

I have it. It works, but sure takes awhile. A small price to pay for its compactness, though.

I have the older, slightly larger one as well.

Love mine (old type), never needed it myself, but others have =)

My buddy has an older one, its been working well for him. I have an airman tour, its helped a ton in the truck.

I carry one. Only had to use it on a flat once so far. Worked fine.

i had 3, all 3 died before they could "top off" 2 car tires.

Slime sells at least 3 diff models of portable compressors. I have no idea which is better if at all but they have a "minutes to fill a tire" rating on the front of the pkg.

I carry a little bunge cord to hold it off the ground out of the dirt.

Keep the DRZ running while compressing? Check with another gauge?
I bought a tire gauge from Snap On. I thought it was going to be good but it is 10 psi off from my friend's gauge that is calibrated regularly.

I bought 1 of these cheepos for bike top-off, but it didn't last very long. Slime did send me another, but it also soon died while on a fairly long tour.

Now carrying an older larger Slime that's been de-cased.
