Beano Cook died. How sad. It's a 2 1/2 to 4 point pick for the home team. Not really breaking balls. LSU you a for real defense & home field. USC historically sucks on the road & haven't played a defense yet.
right, LSU just isn't that good this year. but I believe their record after a loss under Miles is great, which could impact the line.
I could see that, and it's usually true as is what Native said about who shows up. However, they've only played one decent team this year (and although UF is much improved from the cluster fuck season last year I only think they're decent now) and lost and nearly lost to a terrible Auburn team. I know Death Valley is a tough venue, but after watching Mettenberger last weekend I don't see any way they move the ball. Unless they get a couple of pick sixes, they're toast...I'm obviously pulling for LSU. I can understand to a point setting the line there initially, but I would have expected the line to have moved by now as people jumped on USCe...crazy...
It's beyond tough. I'm curious when they last lost a night game in Death Valley? Anybody know? I'm sure it's been years.
I know UF won there in '09. That was the game after the bye when Tebow got the concussion. I don't know after that. I'll check on Google...
Wisconsin AD Alvarez advocates 'super league' excerpt: Id like to see a super league, Alvarez told the Mobile (Ala.) Press-Register. Id like to see a league Southeastern Conference, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10 and have your own rules. Have rules that you know what the hell they are and that you could actually follow them, and let them have it. Weve got a lot of rules. Therere a lot of haves and have-nots, and youre making rules to make the have-nots happy. Let the guys who can afford it go do the guys that are filling those big stadiums, the leagues that have the big TV contracts let them go. Thats nothing against those other guys. But you cant let that group hold the entire group back. http://m.journalstandard.com/freeport/pm_29475/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=L6OsBSO9
I think a semi pro league i.e. a minor league, is a good idea, but they need to keep the damn colleges out of it. Of course that will never happen. so the broken system will remain a broken system.
Yup-= it's time Would also cut down on much of the disipline issues at the NCAA level- Give athletes another avenue that have no interest in being students
OU is putting a real beatdown on Texas. Maybe Mack Brown (and staff)should be shown the door. This is embarrassing.
60-degrees out this morning, a quick 40-mile bike ride with the local club and some great games on-tap. What's not to love about Saturdays???
Sounds very much like my day so far. The wife, myself, and a visiting friend from GA took a ride this morning on the BRP and it's just now hit 61 deg here along the Blue Ridge. Made it back just in time to hunker down and watch WVU take on TT. Gonna throw two chickens on the smoker after the game. Damn...Saturdays are great this time of year!
anyone wanting to see what SEC defenses do against speed & spread can watch the bama mizz game. in the first quarter there was a reverse, a double reverse a 1 back speed sweep option and a screen pass. all defended by the book. no over pursuit, all blown up from the get go. man auburn's looking bad now a days... they do good on both sides of the ball for a quarter and a half & then the starters were out of gas. :\ poooooor auburn.
Holy choke fest. WV looked like all kinds of ass against TT. Geno may have just tossed his Heisman trophy down the toilet!
