what front fender and guards do you have on that bike?? its I nice high fender look

...of course the advnture is a beauty and one of the best offroad-travel machines!

is there a reason you mount the rearbag the opposite way??

Greg, is a KTM stock front fender, Part Numbers: 7730801000004, 7730801000020, 7730801000030.

For our bikes, I just had to make teflon spacers to mount it, making it a bit lower in order to keep it far from the exhaust pipe.

About the guards you mention, don't get which ones, sorry, please tell me more about them (no tank guards, and the hand guards are the stock ones).

The 640 is a great bike.. Probably a better bike than the 950 in my opinion. But the 950 is my true love, and the two bikes are so similar.. It's like having two of the same bikes.. So one of them have to go/change. So either I'm trading the 640 for a Duke, or an SM, or an EXC, or if nobody buys it, I'll just keep it. As there is no way I'm ever going to sell the 950.. I know.. first world problems, but I'm still sad about the 640, as it gave me very nice memories, and interestingly it had lot less trouble than the 950 had ($$ fixing, that is)

Sumi, "first world problems"... yo are so centered, a feature not seen as usual as one might desire.
But, you know, I think there's also another angle: no matter how much you have, a lot or just a few... downsize by a 50% it's always a hard one.
Anyway, it's reasonable to look for a totally different ride, if you have two somehow similar bikes.
Glad it's not as bad as it seemed at first sight!!!

Another option - keep it and put 17" wheels on it, maybe change the tank and headlight/insturments out for the LC4 version, and then you pretty much have a Duke, but can go back to the 640 Adventure if you ever want to.
Incidentally, I also have a 640 and 950 Adventure - I find them different enough to keep both (for example, a passenger for a long ride on the 640 is not so good, but on the 950 it's quite comfortable), and the 640 has 150+ mile more range on a tank of gas than the 950.
Long ago I learned that I would sooner or later regret selling any bike that I really liked, so I just started keeping them. It's much easier to find storage space than to find a good condition used bike that you used to own and want again. But of course, everyone is different.

for those of you that have changed to a different front brake master did you retain the brake switch?? and how ??
i did search no mention.

Hi there i would also like to know what master cylinder other guys are using when going from 2 disc to single disc, as i have priced new ones but can't bring myself to spending that much, any one have one for sale .

While we are on the topic of brakes...holy crap the pads are expensive! Dealer want $45 for front and $45 for rear!:eek1 Any suggestions on a more reasonable option?

EBC, either at your dealer or online
just make sure you pick the compound that suits your riding, street/dirt ?

the EBC are not that much less but off road the hard ones last way longer, ive used up a set rear in just 1 muddy enduro before

If you look around i'm sure you will find a standard tank and seat for a 625sxc as they gat swapped a lot for the larger ones. With the 9 litre tank and slim seat and a supermoto guard (trailtech instruments if you remove the originals) and 17" wheels it becomes a hooligan bike. I was lucky my mate did the work then I bought it.
