It depends upon how you ride and what weight you have on board. I just returned from Ohio loaded at speed & on the slab. My low fuel light would trigger @ 153 miles. Usually on a day trip with no luggage and twisties; about 167. The most I have gone to amber was 203. I figure when the light cycles on I have a gallon in reserve.

    Thanks!

This weekend I was playing TOR.. I stopped for fuel right around 80 miles on the tank and put in 2.25 gallons..

So I got almost exactly 35 MPG.

5.3 gallon tank would net me 188 miles to an embarasing phone call.

A one gallon reserve would put the light on right at 153.

Sounds about right - I think the 919 had an advertised 138mpg.

    is it

    nine - one - nine

    or

    nine - nineteen?

ha! somehow I knew that was going to be the answer.

just tired of questioning my self everytime someone asks what kind of bike. I say 919 and then I get the 'blank stare'

I've actually wondered myself, then I stopped caring. :D I usually say 9-19, but I wouldn't call it's little sibling the 5-99. Sounds like a discount bike. 5-9-9 just sounds better. :hmmmmm I've never heard what the official pronunciation is.

I have found that most people who ask, don't know what it is or what you call it.
I always kinda of liked the Green Hornet, then they smiled.

    Yeah, no Sh$#! Sherlock! :lol3 That's why I'm here!

I've been eyeballing the 919 and Bandit 1250 naked for a LONG time, but
somehow ended up on a FZ6 naked. Let's say I traded torque for ABS.

I just rolled over 80,000 km on my 919 and I have no idea when the previous owner checked the valves last. When should I consider having this done?
