Wait until you take a corner that the C10 flopped and wallowed through at 40mph at 80+ on the C14.

Yup, it's that much better. :deal

Bought my C14 in November and I am just starting to get it in order to put serious miles on it this summer. I was wondering if any inmates had experience mounting extra lighting on the back. I have a Givi Monokey that just needs the lighting kit but I was thinking about mounting some lights on the back of the saddle bags for extra visibility. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so the more noticeable I am in traffic the better. I am also about to get my seat redone and was wondering if anyone had any experience with those fancy in-seat heaters? If there is any other mods that have been done for increased saftey/comfort etc. feel free to share those as well thanks.

What? You mean you don't like your junk being planted in the gas tank while you ride?

Coming from an '05 Goldwing with saddlebag lighting, I had a brief thought about the addition. I quickly dismissed the idea due to a wiring quick disconnect needed - something else to fiddle with in order to remove the bags.

There are some automotive LED strips with self-contained batteries.

You could check with these guys. http://admorelighting.com/store/ I bought the adapter harness to have available.

I'm in NJ, and also deal with crazy drivers. Thinking of adding a set of these.

Prolley a good choice... I've also heard this one is pretty hard to beat for comfort, just another option to consider and it isn't as hideous as the Russell Day Long.

Those seats look really comfy. It's too bad my t-rex arms don't allow me to have something like that. I really need to sit close to the tank. :dllama

Just to throw another choice into the mix....

They're made in France, but found this UK link ( got mine pre-loved)

Not sure about the cost to get one stateside... but I'm really happy with mine, and my other half says she finds the seat really comfortable 'like being on a magic carpet' :evil

I put a Stebel in mine, fits under the black plastic strip to the right of the tank. It's real loud. You need the plug n' play harness. I used the original horn bracket, I think upside down. Probably be easier to take off the right piece just below the black one, but I got away with it using two universals. I got mine from Twisted Throttle. There's a tutorial on the site below the horn info, I did mine before there were how to do pics.

Next valve adjustment, I'll have a USB port in the glovebox, but that install looks clean.

I've got a nice ticking noise now. I thought it was just the cam chain tensioner but it doesn't go away when the bike warms up. It also ticks faster and slower as the RPM's go up and down. I guess I finally need to do the valves and hope for the best.
