I was truly jealous by the wealth of choices you have. Every road seems to fork to more and better choices - twisty bits, farm lanes, gravel, single tracks - pick yer poison! I was crushed to learn Western Explorer was closed to landslip right before I left, but that was about the only disappointment of the whole go.

I've been lucky to ride in a lot of different countries and regions, but Tasmania remains consistently amongst the top. I'm definitely bring the Tiger back to cross-off the WE when it re-opens. ...if only we could get a faster ferry, I'd be there weekly! :lol3

My first jaunt on the new Tiger...not nearly long enough. A few tweaks to the ergos, (Rox Risers and Pivot Pegz) and she'll be good to go. [IMG]

Can someone tell me what the hell that short silo looking thing is. I found two of them today.

Why does it look like your front tire is mounted backwards...opposite of the rear. Maybe that is the way those get mounted, it just seems like the tread is going the wrong way.

Front tires stop and to not propell, therfore chevron paterns are mounted backwards.

    Just like this

Whooooa there boy! There's no hard and fast rule on this. It depends on the manufacturer and the individual tyre involved.
    e.g. here a correctly mounted Heidenau K60.

Compare to a correctly mounted Mefo Explorer.

The important bits are internal where the construction of the front carcass is the reverse of the rear carcass because the front does most of the braking whereas the rear does the driving.

I was just curious. It may be right for that tire. It just looked wrong to me. Sorry I started a tire discussion.
