Spent friday and saturday on a father/son backcountry trip up at 3 Creeks Lake yurts.

Nice weather, tons of snow and a decent tour with the guys:

Unless we get some 90 degree weather, it's gonna be awhile before we're riding bikes up here!

Looks like a great trip, Dave! :clap

Very jealous, but happy to be able to hobble around again without crutches.

Last two weekends at Meadows, this coming one and the next.

They are done with weekdays after last weekend.
Lots of snow, but apparently there are very few skiers are bringing money

I gotta get one more good day in up there, though....
Last trip it rained, and the bar got some money from us.

My daughter and I may be doing Meadows Sat or Sun the 14 or 15th. She is out of college and didn't get to ski much this year.

    Will it be a snowcone?

NEW SEASON ! - time to resurrect this thread -

Not a ton of snow yet but once you figure out the difference between the pine cones and the rocks, it's still fun to ski !

Nice pic Wachs! We just got up to Mt Hood this afternoon! The snow is finally flying! Can't wait for some fresh snow finally after 2+ weeks of dry skies and sun in Dec in the PNW! Hope the jet stream returns soon! Have fun!

I'm taking my new to me all weather camper up to Meadows this weekend (leaving tonight) and spending the weekend. If anyone is going up to Meadows, let me know. Not the best conditions right now, but what the heck.

Bought a pass at Meadows this year. For the last 7 years or so my wife and I spent all our time skate skiing and I haven't been on my downhill planks for so long I'm wondering how easily it'll come back. For the next couple weeks I'm at home nursing my wife back to health after a total hip replacement a few days ago. But after that rain or shine I'm planing on skiing a few times a week.

Now we just need some storms!!!

oh geesh - totally over did it today - sampled a bunch of new skis - LibTech, ON3P and Rossignol. 3" or so of new didn't hurt but it got kinda warm and tomorrow off the groom is gonna be tragic in places.
