Lets see TT has played: Eastern Washington(4-5), Nevada(5-4), SMU(1-9), DIV 1AA UMass(6-4), Kansas State(4-6), Nebraska(6-4), Texas A&M(4-6), Kansas (6-4), Texas(9-1), and OK State(8-2). 2 good teams, out of 10, and none of them play defense. Bama has seen your 50+ point dog and pony show before. This time we have a defense and better coaches. Remember this 2006 Cotton Bowl? Back to LSU putting up 21 points on BAMA. They also scored 21 on Florida, and 38 on Georgia. Now lets play your what if game. In Bama's worst played game this year, The Crimson Tide spotted LSU 14 in the 1st quarter with a fumble and penalties. Bama also left of 17 points off the score board (remember it was their worst played game). Until they play a team with a defense. History has way funny way of repeating itself. But hey who knows? I remember years ago when AL was on a similiar streak and they were number 2 in the country. As luck would have it, Auburn beat them that year. My cousin swears that I called him and asked, "How does it feel to go from number 2 in the country to number 2 in the state?" oser I expect he'll call me this year if AL runs the table. Of course, while he's done well for himself, he never went to college.
How many teams have been at #1 this year as ranked by the coaches? LOL, its a joke. They are just GUESSING at who is #1. Look at the teams Bama has played compared to the teams TT has played? Then look at the margin of victory. TT is beating tougher teams, and by a bigger margin. We will know how good Bama is by the end of the year... my guess is they will end up around #8 or #9.
