Well i don't know and the 49ers probaly don't either, Kaepernick has it going on right now but come playoff time can you afford him to have a rookie type game, or by then the defenses will have him figured out. Smith you just gotta feel for the guy getting bent everywhich way there, he has the experience but lacks the talent, so yeah glad i'm not the coach. I agree about the defense that at the start of the season i thought they were untouchable, but they've had their moments but when they're on they control the game like the giants did the packers. The 49ers if they get into a shootout type game gotta play Kaepernick because his speed opens a whole new threat no one fears from smith.
I think the falcons are a good team, but as you state they have issues plus Ryan has that playoff jinx he needs to kick. If they can lock up home field that will help because if they go outside in the cold that will hurt the offense alot ecspecially against like the bears who get alot of take aways and can beat you with their offense.
Well the playoff jinx is there and is the 800 pound gorilla in the room. I will say though, the teams the Falcons lost too either went on to the Superbowl, or won the Superbowl. It was not like they lost to bottom of the barrel playoff teams. Hopefully this year he can get that monkey off his back.
On another note. Atlanta Falcons fans that were working at the airport egged the Saints bus. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8689695/new-orleans-saints-say-bus-egged-atlanta-airport
Yeah will be interesting to see what happens, i wish i could watch the game tonight because i think its gonna be a shoot out style of game.
That's me and my my right middle finger that's ~1/2 shorter than it used to be. My main problem with Harbaugh is that he tries to trick defenses with college level plays in critical situations (I.e. 3rd and 2 within field goal range) that lose 6 yards and take them out of FG range. He's got to understand that these guys are fast, they rarely get tricked and they can recover better and cover lots more ground than college level kids. And you're right that some of those challenges are foolish and can hurt them later in the game.
I wonder if these are the people they trust to work on the tarmac. If so this may not end well for some.
Quarterbacks today run this way a little, then that way, then dump the ball out of bounds. There will never be another Fran Tarkenton.
I think he broke it himself. That was the first time I saw the Falcons play this year and I only got to see the second half. Not a lot of impressive football by either side.
Yeah the Falcons defense sucks. I mean only 5 interceptions, they actually had 6 but one was called back. That was all on Brees. 11-1. I'll take it.
The Falcons will always have a special place in my heart for what they did to the Vikings in the NFC title game back in '98.
They held Brees to less than 400 yards. That is impressive. It was like watching two guys hit themself over the head with a hammer until one passed out. I was just hoping to see some good football. I was dissapointed by both teams. The Falcons record seems less impressive to me after that. But like I said. It's the only time I've seen them this year.
