I've been wondering if that was any good, looks like I'll have to stop in some time.

Still on the road and doing my best to avoid the winter temps. Call me a wimp if you want.

Stopped off in Morro Bay and enjoyed watching the slow pace of life on the coast...

    the wildlife...

Unfortunately, the drive up Big Sur to Carmel looked mostly like this...

...at least when we were up above it.

Spent some time at my brother in-law's place up in the Sierras, then wound our way to Auburn with several days at my sister in-law's place in Auburn. I'm lucky that my in-laws are all great folks. Took a day's detour to the Bay area and hung out drooling over the sail and house boats at Sausalito...

Must be nice to be able to afford on of those rigs...berthing fees, etc.

Up to the snow country (high Sierras) tomorrow to visit more of my wife's relatives, descendants of the gold miners, then back to the coast to continue north. Yeah Doc, I'll be hitting the Avenue of the Giants as per your suggestion. As someone on here said in the last few days, you're the human gps and your recs have been 100% on.

Stay warm and have fun at Sassy's.

Having a GOOD time here Doc. Despite the bad press California is a lot of fun. Don't think I could live here, but there's a lot to see and we've only run into good people so far. Seeing my wife's relatives up in the Sierras should be a trip. I've heard lots of stories of their exploits and it seems those stereotypes of hillbillys from the hills and hollers of Arkansas have little over the descendants of the gold miners and bear hunters of 49er California. We'll see.

Was at the BMW place today, they were trying to pawn off the 2 stroke oil they had. Not a big mover there. I bought a quart for half price. All they have left is Bel Ray Synthetic. (what I used to run in the day). Didn't know if there were any bean oil burners on here, but heck of a deal.

where do you buy the 927 Doc?

cheapest I have found is rocky mt atv

    64oz for $28.99

free shipping over $100 so I used to buy 4 jugs at the beginning of summer.
