That is interesting and very clever.
It shows that the calculations that the ABS/TCS does are set by parameters fed back to the ABS unit during the first couple of wheel revolutions after start up. i.e. The period that the ABS light is on, if it is turned off for any reason. (fuse removed/Wheel spin on stand etc)

So how did you get around the tyre touching the bike ?

The tire touch the skid plate centre. Now the manufacturer (ACD) is trying to modify the plate to avoid this. At the end of the week we’ll know if hw can…. Hope so!
With the Touratech it touch very little in full compression.

As to the weight of the Rumbux, the weight of the unit, complete upper and lower with all hardware, (most of the big bolts replace shorter OEM ones), is 23 lbs. The lower bash frame w/skid plate and all hardware is 13 lbs and the upper bash frame is 10 lbs.

Luckily it's the less important right side.

Now I've got tomorrow off work, but I'm hesitant to test it, as its the biggest hunting week of the year here, and all my favorite roads are in hunting areas.

Well I was excited before, and I caught all kinds of hell for that.

I got my Rumbux in the mail, and installed. I'm a happy camper. Well compared to Mikef500, I'm probably a sourpuss. But hey, one beer later, some help from my wife, threw in an oil change, and it's done!
