How about, whenever you find your self in a strange town, you snap a pic of your bike in front of the local Post Office? Why? Why not? Think of it as a really short ride report. You are saying: "This town exists, and I was there on my motorcycle." Post enough of them, and people might think you are well traveled. A post office can be interesting or bland, we don't care. The smaller, the older, the more remote, the better. But any P.O. will do. Maybe bigger is good too. I'll start things off with Timber, Oregon pop 155. If you are curious about the exact location of any of these Post Offices, Clampett has gone the trouble to make a handy clickable map showing coordinates. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1TfGiW6bxXDLGkwcTFbTAXLAc32k&usp=sharing Thanks Clampet. .
They don't have to be pretty. They can even look like this: Canyon City, Oregon pop 659. But, if they look like this, so much the better: Shaniko, Oregon pop 26
Cool thread idea. Here are a couple that are close by. Sorry no bike in the pics, but I was sitting on it. Friendsville, TN Reliance, TN
Astoria, Oregon, the KLR a friend loaned me while running around Oregon, and Shogs on her magical mystery tour.
Get some dust on them bikes - have dinner at the Northern Lights... Polebridge MT. (closest phone for miles is the pay phone is on the deck).
Wow, as many contributions by 8:20 today as in all of last month. Amazing, what a shot of Shogs can do for a thread. Thanks, Mort
Thanks for your contribution. Cool pics, they are interesting, unlike the one below, which is... how can I put it- Boring, Oregon Pop. 12851
