Guys,
Will the OEM wheels from a 990 Adventure work on a 950 SE? I know
- the wheel diameters are the same
- the right front rotor *may* have to be removed.

What about axle diameters/lengths and spacers? I think it might work after reading this thread:

Has anybody actually put Adventure wheels on the SE? I have an opportunity to pick up a set cheap.

That's OK as I would shod them with tires more street-oriented for street use. My DirtStars are shod with full knobbies.

I have adventure rims on my SE with scorpions that I use for the roads. Dirt stars have the knobbies. I have just one front disc installed and use the the SE front wheel spacers. Back tire cost more because it is wider.

I have ADVenture Rims laced to my SE hubs.

I Always keep aired above 34psi to not bend a rim.

The Stock Rims are Mucho better for Off-Roading as JJ mentioned

I have a set of adv hubs set up with 19" front, stock 18" rear,converted to tubeliss. just need to run SE spacer's and alls good

OK this question is for the people who have done the vacuum fuel pump conversion. I put the pump on top of my air box and tee into the crank case breather hose. Everything was fine for about a month then the bike died on me and barely kept running to make it home. I took the pump apart and there was water on the vacuum side of the diagram, I guessed it was condensation from the engine breather. I switched to the rear cylinder and put the fitting with the larger ID on the left and plug the hole on the right with a bolt. The bike runs fine but is hard to start now. In the past in the morning I would pull the choke lever and she would fire right up. Now I have to crank it a lot to get in running. Not as bad when it is warm but still not the same. Anyone have any ideas.

I have my Vac pump mounted under the engine (on a 950ADV) and havent had any issues with it. I dont know if the higher mount makes a difference. I would not think so but I could be wrong. You may still have moisture in the line too.

Are both of you running the standard size ADV rear tire (150/70-18)? Any problms with the tire rubbing up against the chain/swingarm/etc?

I have a bit of a problem with a 950 SE. The bike stayed in a garage for some long time (more than 6 month) without running at all and now, there are two issues:

1. I can start it once and after that the starter relay just makes noises but engine will not start until I charge the battery again....

2. I can start the bike with the choke at 1/2 but when I am trying to close the choke (to idle position) it stalls.

Please give me some inputs if you run into this specific behaviors.

Yes that is the tire. No problems.

Sounds like you might need a new battery.

Agree with the battery solution, but what about the other issue. To add some info: when I try to give it some gas after I started it with the choke, it stalls also...:huh

Clogged jet?

Add some SeaFoam to the gas tank and let it run for a while.

I'm running the Mefo Super Explorer 150/70-18"
No problems at all, but as mentioned - the narrower rims handles much better offroad.

You have to let it warm up. The carbs are picky. May want to get new gas in it. Also, get new battery.

My 950 SE starts flooding out when I go through a bunch of woops. If I stop the bike dies and I can smell gas. Anyone else have this problem and what was the fix?
