The AZBDR documentary provides an in-depth look into the creation and first expedition of the AZBDR. Follow a group of riders on adventure motorcycles including the Yamaha WR250R, KTM 990 Adventures, BMW F800GS, and the 2013 R1200GS as they camp from their motorcycles, tackle tough terrain, and enjoy the stunning and varied landscapes of Arizona’s remote backcountry, including historic old west towns, remote deserts, pine-covered mountains, beautiful canyons and Native American lands.

The AZBDR release includes free GPS tracks and route travel information available on the BDR website, a waterproof map from Butler Motorcycle Maps, and expedition documentary on DVD produced by Noren Films.

The movie will be followed by a Q&A with the BDR team and filmmaker Sterling Noren of Noren Films. This is a great opportunity to get more detailed information about the route, and purchase the AZBDR map and DVD before they are released to the public on March 1st.

Backcountry Discovery Routes is a 501c (4) non-profit organization whose mission is to establish and preserve off-highway routes for dual-sport and adventure motorcycle travel. Through education, advocacy, and promotion of responsible motorcycle travel, BDR seeks to preserve backcountry motorcycling opportunities for generations to come.

I might have missed it but didn't see any links to this years Rally in the Gorge. SoundRider is still working on the links/pages but there is some info up already.

Rally in the Gorge will be held Labor Day weekend,
August 28 – September 1 at the Hood River County Fairgrounds.

Yeah, I went to the Rally in the Gorge event a couple of years ago. Tom puts on a Great event. I love the GPS tracks they'll load for you when you check in. Makes it a no-brainer.

I see that he is moving it this year from Stevenson to Hood River. To bad, I kinda liked that Stevenson location.

He doesn't have much info on the web site, but I see he's got the dates so I'll add it to Calendar.

So who's this special guest? Looks like I may miss Blackdog this year, so may have to check this out. It was a fun event when I went to it a couple of years ago...hmmm....which bike to bring?
