Well, I'll defend H-D. My two air-cooled big-twin bikes... flawless, zero problems, nothing but maintenance. Same for every H-D I've rented on long distance trips. Boringly reliable. Can't say that about my GS.... which I still adore .

The Hammer is okay... ...but that tail section looks Corbin-cheesy.

The main issue I have with Victory, or any bike (like most metric cruisers) that comes from the factory heavily stylized, is that it looks like one size fits all.

People have decried the "hardware-store" design of HDs, but that made true customs- well, custom.

That hammer has potential- but lose the ass end.

I agree unanamously. The standard cruiser design has withstood the test of time because its comfortable and adaptable. The idea that its outdated and boring is pushed mainly by moto-journalists. As far as I'm concerned most of them aren't worth reading anymore. I'm disappointed that Victory ditched their 2003 Classic.

I'll second that. That rear-end brought the most complaints from current owners. Too bulky IMO.

I guess what matters most is what potential owners think.

Gone but not forgotten

Well, I didn't what to be left out! So here is a picture of my Harley-Davidson/Buell XR1250R Street Tracker. I am currently mocking it up right now. The pictures are a little fuzzy because I'm using my wireless connection. The bike has a C&J Racing frame, Revolution Performance STD XR engine kit, SuperTrapp dual exhaust, dual Mikuni HSR45 carburetors, Red Shift .590" cams, Buell 'Roma' inverted forks, Marchesini 17" wheels, a Penske rear shock, Storz XR750 fuel tank by Race Tech, Storz XR750 tailsection, and many, many more parts.

I enjoy riding every bike I own and the ones I have owned over the years always bring back great memories of places and people I've been riding with.My wife and I really like the hog for all day touring with the intercom, stereo, ect.. ect...
It is an entirely different experience with each tpye of bike, life is good

Well I saw this thread and will chime in. Although I don't have a pic yet I just bought a 2003 Buell Lightning today if that counts. It was sitting at the honda dealership for a couple months as a trade. I low balled them for the hell of it today and am now the owner of a used Buell. Road it around a bit and love it compared to the old M2 cyclone I road before. Its an American exotic and will look good sitting next to the f650gs.
