True, the price I mentioned was for a "dual" seat. I do a lot of 2up so the dual was my only option. I find that if mama rides more often then so do I. :deal

Mayer recommends the leather seats... EXCEPT if you bikes spends a lot of time in the sun and rain. And since I commute more days than not the bike sits out in the parking lot all days more days than not I went with the vinyl.

I had Rick Mayer do my seats also last year. The only difference is my pillon seat is much thicker than Yankee Dogs. It sits a full inch higher than the front seat when the front is in the high position. My wife absolutely loves it.

is'nt this thread "dialing the T8 for the dirt?" this seat looks more like Dialing it in for the super slab! looks super comfy though, but a little on the ugly side and not really fitting in with the rest of the bikes style. (just my opinion):hide

I agree with it being a bit ugly. But a happy wife makes up for it.

Nice seat. Had a Rick Mayer on my Multi for five years. Loved it. Mine was leather. Pillion was only recovered with leather (no foam mods) to match.

The stock Tiger seat is pretty good - not sure if I'll replace it but if I do, it will likey be with a Rick Mayer.

Agreed. Do the wings on the seat interfere with standing? They also appear to hinder hanging off when riding with my sport bike buddies on a strafing run. That would be a deal killer.

I haven't had any issues standing, that being said I have a dirt bike for riding in the dirt. I doubt this bike will ever see anything more than fire roads. As for hanging off, haven't had any issues there either but this isn't a race bike either. It does fine in the twisties for how I ride.

The seat narrows down to normal at the front. So there is no difference in the standing positions.

As for the hanging part. Not a problem. not that I drag my knees

Looks like a great Touring seat for those big mile days thats for sure. I would'nt mind giving one a try for my 13,000 km trip starting at the end of the month.

    5, 10, 15, 20 & 30. The 30A is for the solenoid under the battery.
