I think it's stupid to occupy a car parking place with a bike....

Nothing to do with the type of jerks on the GS, simply some 'bon sens commun' (common sens).

But hey, I do agree with you, "over-weight jerks" ride "over-weight bikes" and often have "over-weight spirit" :lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3

What an Ass! I do not wish him harm, but may a big freaking bird shit on his bike while it is parked under that tree!

when I park in a space like that I expect another bike to be able to fit in it, and park my bike in such a way. Assholes seem to be everywhere and are unavoidable even in our world.

I'm both overweight and middle-aged, but I'd share my parking space. :D

I think you just happened across a jerk and he would have still been a jerk regardless of what bike he was riding.

That is strange. Expecialy the way he parked looks to me like he was inviting another biker to park there.

Hey me too! In fact, I like another bike next to me. Makes it harder to mess with and mine are usually the dirtiest bikes around so the clean ones make better targets :)

This! One jerk does not define a group of riders. In my experience, most riders, BMW or not, would have let you join them.

    Jim :brow

PS No offense, but making out like we all suck because of one ass doesn't make you look all that good either.:deal

PPS He did have a trailer parked there. Maybe he was concerned he would be blocked in when he was ready to leave. :dunno

Wow, if someone leaves that much room I usually don't even ask, just pull up, plonk down the kickstand, nod, and walk away.

No offense taken. I was certainly painting with broad brush strokes, and I would doubt anyone would take my comments too seriously. Obviously if Beemer riders were all really that bad I would not be an MOA member, would not go to rallies, and would ride something else.

Great DVDs and technical info by the way. The willingness of Beemer wrenches to share the knowledge is one reason I have stayed with the brand.

Lots of people out there that "rides" bikes that haven't understood the proper motorcycling mentality of sharing and caring. Some of them rides BMW, or maybe not so much rides as owns one.

Try to view them like little boys with their most special priced possession that they don't want to share or even let anyone else touch, preferably not even come close and guards jealously ;) Its all about ownership for those guys.

Well now when you mention sharing, asking to ride my bike might get a " Hell no" reply. I've got a couple of riding buddies that I wouldn't mind letting ride my beloved "Scarlett", but those are few and far between. :evil

Wow, if he wouldn't let a fellow BMW rider park next to him, just think what he would have said if you rode a KLR!:lol3:1drink

That may have been selfish asshat behavior on the other GS rider's part, but then you go and post a pic of his plate number here? :nono

This thread needs to go to the basement after you prune the offending pic.

Not sure what the big deal is about a plate showing, but there you go. Pic removed.
