When watching any tyre changing trick/tool on the interwebs three things always stick in my mind:
    1. This guy is a professional.
    2. There is absolutely no way they are using a really hard to change tyre for their demo and it hasn't been sat in a freezing cold garage for two weeks prior to this video.
    3. They could have (and if they're clever, will have) filmed 100 takes and used the best one, where it went on first time, with the least hassle for the advert.

Not saying I won't drink this particular Coolaid if I see one being used in the flesh/hear enough good reviews here, just saying I'm always skeptical of miracle tyre changers. I know that I have changed tyres with nothing other than spoons in less than 5 minutes some days and then others, I've struggled for well over an hour. I have no idea why, everyone always bangs on about how getting a good brake bleed is inconsistent. Not for me: after doing it the first time, it has always been a piece of piss for me. Get my in front of any tyre other than a pushbike tyre and God only knows how long it'll be before I have it on.

Like the concept and design any one get one and try it
Just changed 2 tires and one was the 10 min change and the other was the 30 min aggravation

If someone tries it with good luck I would be interested

I have not had a chance to give it a go yet, as I don't need to change tires at this time, but I cannot imagine why it would not work on the XC's Excel wheels any differently than it would work on any other wheels.

The standard tool fits a 20mm axle size, and comes with a sleeve to space it out to 25mm.

Also available for an extra charge are adapters for 15mm and 17mm. I purchased a 15mm one with mine so that I could use it on my KLX as well.

They guys on Husky Cafe did a group buy and seem to like the tool. I honestly don't see the advantage over a set of irons. You still need something to break the bead and remove the tire and putting the tire on isn't ever really that big of a deal, but I can appreciate the desire for a new gadget.

That's what I think also but I don't have to deal with tubed tires too much....yet.

However showed it to my friend, he is setting up his tire/restoration shop and he was very interested. His comment however.....I can make something like that in 5 minutes.Same comment he made when I showed him them "tire bars" and gave him the materials to make one.Done in about an hour! Give or take another hour and time to finish the tire machine, I am sure we could come out with something.

    An anchor point....a lever/pusher....some UHMW.

It looks like that tire had a softer sidewall than the tires I use. There was alot of "give" in the sidewall..... It still looks like a tool to have in the garage.

I thought the same - that sidewall looked very pliable, I wonder if they heated the tire in some way :dunno

I looked around the "Husky Cafe" site and couldn't find any talk of the tool. If you know of any discusion would you post the link? Thanks

I think we are in a holding patern here until someone trys out the tool and gives a report.

Looks like the guys over at Cafehusky give their approval as all comments are good. I'd say a group buy is a go.

PineyMountainRacing said he would do the group buy...maybe.

I suggest all the group buyers throw in and buy PineyMountainRacing one for his efforts. Lets see 25 buyers, cost of one device about 120...thats 4.80 each. Make that 5 bucks tip for PineyMountainRacing efforts.

Hope to see other chime in and agree and get this buy going. I got 2 mefos ready to put on! Lets go Piney:clap
